Pictures don’t do the property justice. It is warm, welcoming and beautifully renovated. They thought of everything.My husband wants to stay here whenever we are in this area and I agree wholeheartedly. Great for a family and is pet friendly. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Family Break At The Croft
We had a wonderful 5-day family break at The Croft. The accommodation was lovely; modern, spacious and well equipped. The location was very peaceful and only a short drive to local attractions. Steve was the perfect host who responded to our enquiry very promptly. We would definitely visit this property again and would highly recommend to others looking for a family break.

Very high standard
We really can't fault The Croft at all. It is remarkably well decorated and furnished. Spacious and extremely comfortable. Great views too. Host (and goats) very friendly.

The Ideal holiday Retreat
Quiet country living, perfect accommodation and very friendly owners. The 15 minute drive to the nearest village was on quiet roads and within easy access to other places of interest.

A real gem
The Croft was perfect and exactly as described. Very functional but also beautifully decorated. The living room was especially stunning with it's high ceiling (and the mezzanine floor was a big hit with our teenage daughter!). The owner was extremely helpful (even allowing us to accommodate some extra family members at very short notice for one evening) and responsive to queries before and during our stay. The property has a lovely feel - with a field of (very quiet) goats across the drive and a friendly farmyard cat. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer! Would highly recommend

Excellent location, quiet and secluded. Owners are there to help but always giving you full privacy. The cottage is of a high standard with all the necessary requirements for a self catering vacation for adults or families with children. The location is also perfect for walks/tours of lakes, castles, forests, farms, zoos and beaches; ofcourse a car is essential.

We had a short break at the Croft while competing at the nearby Belsay Horse Trials. Cottage is very well equipped and it's lovely that two bedrooms and bathrooms are at ground floor level- ideal for elderly grandparents. Steve was very helpful and provided everything we needed.

A Little Piece of Heaven!
The Croft is simply stunning!! It is a spacious, beautifully presented property which is equipped with everything you could possibly need. A true home from home. I cannot recommend the croft highly enough - it is such beautiful and pristine accomodation with everything you could need. The surrounding area has lots to choose from for days out and is such a beautiful area of the country. The animals were a massive hit with the kids, especially the Domino the cat who provided hours of entertainment! Thanks to Stephen, the owner who is also incredibly friendly and happy to help with anything you need.

Great communication with Steve prior to arriving. The Croft is absolutely brilliant! So spacious for a group of 6 adults and dogs and beautiful decor. Loved the kitchen especially! Perfect for escaping from fireworks over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 100% recommend!!

This cottage is amazing! Even better in person than in the fabulous photos. Sparkling clean and spacious kitchen with every cooking utensil/appliance you need. Very modern decor and large bedrooms. The mezzanine bedroom was gorgeous. Friendly goats outside the cottage were a hit with kids. Very peaceful and quiet location but also not far from places to visit. Hosts were very easy and friendly to communicate with and easily accessible. Loved our stay and would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Wonderful restful stay
My Wife,Myself, Daughter & 95 year old Mother in law came to watch our daughter take part in Great North Run .We all enjoyed staying in the property and Stephen couldn't have been more considerate towards us as we arrived late & he had put the heating on & helped us when we got a bit lost & gave us directions when we phoned & looked out for us on arrival at the property.Its a beautiful place to stay,spotlessly clean & very well equipped and it suited us all as the 2 bedrooms are ground level with 2 bathrooms and additional sleeping options. What can we say as a family as it was perfect & thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Stephen went the extra mile for us so huge thanks as it was a wonderful family experience for us .

A beautiful house perfectly positioned for visiting the North East. Very comfortable and maintained to a very high standard. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen if self catering. Beautiful accommodation in peaceful location
Booking and general communication was really easy and friendly from the start. On arrival we experienced the Wow factor. Lovely spacious living area and high quality finishing throughout. We brought our small dog and although we were made aware there are dogs loose on the grounds, we didn’t see any and had a very restful stay. They even provided a welcome box for our dog 😍 The goats outside and the cats were the icing on the cake, a really special spot to stay😃

Just Perfect!
This place is just wonderful. We had 9 nights here and felt completely at home. We arrived to a warm and cosy space, filled with everything we could possibly need. Everything was thought of. I agree with other posts in that the photos just don't do justice to how great this place is. So much space for my husband and I and our 2 children, but cosy at the same time. It was wonderful to have our frequent visitor Domino the cat to entertain our boys. The goats and the pony were a favourite to visit just outside our door too and the setting is so peaceful. Steve and Julie were so helpful and accommodating, you just can't ask for better hosts. Absolutely recommended!

Booked a 3 night stay for our family of 6. Lovely comfortable cottage which was spotlessly clean and very well appointed with every detail thought of. The little extras were much appreciated too - Bottle of wine, milk in the fridge, biscuits, bottled water, tea and coffee and a basket of supplies to keep our pooch happy too. Communication from Steve was excellent, providing us with information prior to our stay and contactable throughout if we needed anything which we didn’t as everything was so well catered for. Beautiful location with places of interest only a short drive away. We visited Hexham, Corbridge, Holy Island, Morpeth and Alnwick over our 3 day stay. Will definitely return!

We stayed over the new year. The pictures of the house did not do it justice. The attention to detail and overall experience was excellent. The only thing that I would mention is the toilets are abit high for my short legs but that didn’t take away from the experience of the house. We will definitely be back (with a stepping stool for me haha)
