Great location in a very quiet and friendly village. The cottage is really nice and well equipped, but could do with the kitchen and bathroom being updated. The kitchen draws always felt that they might fall apart if you opened them too far and the bathroom has a lot of mildew and felt quite damp when we arrived. However by leaving the window open for most of the day and lighting some candles it started to feel a lot better. It has great character and really feels like a home. Dog friendly but be aware that there is no back garden, but there is a large village green right outside the front door which our dog loved. The upstairs consists of just two bedrooms with wooden floors and they were both really nice. Be careful of the wooden stairs as they are quite slippy. Downstairs consists of a really nice front room with a large open fireplace, a dining room with bookshelves full of books, maps, games etc. To the rear of the cottage is the kitchen, a utility room with a back door to the rear of the property (and next doors garden) and the bathroom. Despite some minor flaws, this is a really nice place to stay and we didn't want to leave at the end of the week. Oh, and the locals are all really friendly. The food at the pub next door is out of this world!
Would definitely stay here again.
