We loved our stay. The view was amazing and the pool was a hit with the kids. It kept them entertained for hours. The house was nicely set up with plenty of room for our group of ten. We look forward to returning.

Long weekend stay
Excellent communication and willingness to help. Property was clean and comfortable. And it is in a great convenient location. Would be helpful to have bathroom bins, some hooks in bathroom to hang towels/clothes change; bedside tables and lamps in all bedrooms. Thx for having us!

Great Time
Six women on a girls weekend away. The property was spotless and very spacious. The view was spectacular and the pool was lovely. We were close enough to everything and the neighbours were fantastic. We will definitely stay again

The extended family stayed here for our sons wedding. Tidy, well presented & comfortable home. Great location with beautiful views. Reasonable pricing for the Lake Macquarie area.

Boys Weekend
Spent a weekend away at Linda's place with a handful of lifelong friends. The house was clean, well located, had plenty of room inside and out, and the kitchen well equipped. Would definitely recommend.

Extremely enjoyable family getaway at an outstanding property
This property has got to be the most comfortable and cleanest property ever, with everything you can think off. Great living arrangement for families, amazing views, very helpful and accommodating owner, comfortable beds, Netflix, fast wifi, shops close by, beautiful pool. Can’t stress enough the cleanliness as well. Everything you need for a stress free, fun, memorable holiday. Highly recommend.

A relaxing and lovely stay. Just metres from the lake with your own pool. Our family had a fabulous, swimming in the pool, relaxing on the back verandah and just enjoying the lake views dispite the rain

Great stay at Christmas time= but unreasonable fees!
Great house to finally meet up with our family who live locally to celebrate Christmas after the long lockdown. (sorry this is lengthy as I want to ensure correct facts) A very sour taste remains re the "LATE DEPARTURE FEE" on top of the tariff. We initially booked 3 nights but about a week after booking, requested a further night making a total of 4 nights. The extra night's tariff was added to the overall fee but ALSO was a late departure fee added to the overall fees. We hadn't requested a late departure, so I asked our host to re-look at the fees and please rectify what must have been an error. She replied with a lengthy explanation of at that time of year, there would be back to back bookings and a late departure would not be possible etc etc. WE DIDN'T WANT LATE DEPARTURE!! We contacted her again to clarify this and she replied : - "the late departure is the extra night. I agree would be easier if named ‘extra night’. Technically it is a 3 day booking plus an extra night. The total price is what you need to look at. Not at all the break-ups. (The service fee is a fee charged from VRBO/Stayz, it is automatically applied from there end). I believe under the host fees also is included the refundable (amount), which won’t end up being charged if all goes well (which it should). If you are uncomfortable with this however, I am more than happy for you to cancel and be refunded." I messaged our host 3 times regarding this. Each message was quickly responded to, but we were basically told to accept it or cancel it. This was NOT an extra night's fee. This was ON TOP of our fee which was 4 nights at (rate), cleaning, service fee plus LATE DEPARTURE!! We were not in a bargaining position. Because of the lockdown period, holidays rentals everywhere including the district we needed, were very limited as the population was not going overseas or even interstate and Christmas was the one thing we had to look forward to so bookings for Christmas everywhere were maximized. We had no choice but pay. The late departure fee was NOT insignificant. It was roughly the price of a return flight Sydney to Perth!! We feel this was an excessive overcharge and can only see this as our host taking advantage of the Covid lockdown by profiteering from people at their most vulnerable time. The whole experience has left us certain not to return which is a shame since the house is great. Just a very unreasonable host. We exited as required (by 10am). There was no refund.

I am sorry that you still haven't understood the way the charging works Vivienne, despite trying many times to explain this to you. Unfortunately the way VRBO breaks their charges down is outside of my control. The late departure fee was in fact for the additional night that you later requested and it was stated to you at the time that the description for that extra night charge was chosen from a range of pre-selected charges that I had to choose from as best to describe the additional night (as 'additional night' was not a choice to select). I feel you may never quite comprehend this however, as I have explained this to you many times and you still struggle to comprehend. You were not charged anything additional other than the extra night that you requested.

Was absolutely beautiful, under such sad circumstances. Was more than we expected. Was so lucky to get the place on such short notice. Good location and fabulous view. Terrific parking and size of house. Access to Netflix was good during the wet weather! Disappointed to find the gas bottle empty on the bbq and no spare. Pool was lovely. Tiles in the outside entry area were dangerous in the wet weather - very slippery. Very friendly neighbours!
