  • 'The Cottage' at Hope Haven Retreat, offers space for peace, refreshment and restoration. Set within 3 acres of beautiful grounds, with uninterrupted views, of woodland and openfields, fabulous sunsets, and extensive birdlife and wildlife.

    Hope Haven Retreat offers luxury self-catering holiday lets with a God given vision to provide stillness and rest for those who are in need of a hide-away and escape from the day to day. The Cottage is perfect for individuals, friends and family.

    Whatever the season, whatever the weather, this beautiful area offers peace and quiet and an opportunity to relax, be still and recharge the batteries!

    The Cottage is close to many nature reserves, ancient woodlands and river walks spread across the East Trent area. It is a short journey to Newark Showground and Lincoln Showground, which have various events going on weekly.

    Hope Haven, is a Christian run retreat, and has resources to reflect this in our holiday lets. We hope you feel at home and find peace here, whatever your reason for staying.

    Hope Haven is located 9 miles from Lincoln City centre and 8 miles from Newark. Trains run from Collingham to and from both places every half hour to an hour. Collingham, only 3 miles from the retreat, provides a Co-op with cafe, butcher, post office, medical centre, chemist, various take aways and pubs/restaurants. Everything you need is nearby. There are lovely walks in the area close to Hope Haven and we can point you in the right direction!

A True Haven

I stayed at Hope Haven for a couple of weeks while working and it was the perfect retreat after work with peace quiet and nature around. The vision that the owners Clare and Peter have for the place is amazing and to see it manifesting is inspiring. They are two of the kindest and friendliest people I’ve met and were helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

A real Haven

Amazingly peaceful setting with Mother Nature all around. Ideal for reflection and relaxation. Well equipped property with great shower, comfortable beds and good kitchen facilities. It feels like Heaven

It was so beautiful and perfect. Every detail was so thought out and looked so good. We enjoyed every single moment there and we didn’t feel the need to go sightseeing as it was so cozy and relaxing. You could hear the birds singing in the morning and the rooster crowing. Claire and Peter are beautiful people with golden hearts. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Our stay at Hope Haven was simply wonderful. The accomodation was of the highest quality, so many personal touches and with everything you might need thought of and provided! Very warm welcome from hosts Claire and Peter. Accommodation cosy and clean with lovely slice of cake on arrival! Everything you could need was provided, including a fan which was very welcome in the warm weather. Peaceful surroundings made for a very relaxing break. Would be happy to recommend and visit again.

Ein sehr schönes und komfortabel eingerichteter Bungalow in wunderbar ruhiger Umgebung. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, Bett äußerst komfortabel, bequeme Draußen- Sitzplätze. Die Landschaft ist eben und nicht so spektakulär, aber die Unterkunft trotzdem wegen der ruhigen und ländlichen Umgebung ein sehr anheimelnder, friedlicher Ort.

Delightful and therapeutic.

I fell in love with the place and it’s beautiful surroundings as soon as I arrived, so did my friend. I couldn’t fault the place, it was so cosy and clean and it had a lovely feel to it. It has a real sense of serenity about it. The Hosts were amazing too, really nice people and they made sure everything was perfect, they were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. I will be back again and I will definitely recommend it to others too. It would be great to stay sometime in the winter too. The village overall is also beautiful and worth exploring.

Lovely location in a tranquil setting.

Without doubt one of the best places we have ever stayed if not the best. Met by the lovely hosts on arrival and showed around the spotlessly clean bungalow which has everything you need for your stay. Local village a few minutes drive away with shops and pubs but it is so peaceful it was difficult to tear yourself away.
