The staff was excellent. The room was a bit tired, but acceptable. The bed and sheets were great. The elevator and the halls reeked of weed, and the room smelled smoky even though it was a non-smoking room.

The property is nice enough and stylish, and our room was comfortable. It did not have every detail I would’ve liked, but I would not expect that except at a premium hotel. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly, which sets this place apart. Will happily stay here again in the future to visit my daughter, who starts college in the city this fall.

I stay at aloft hotels in every city I go too. The room was small and worn down. You can notice mold in the corners of the shower and on the ceiling. Dusty on the side of the bed. The TV didn’t work, it either froze and lagged when you pressed the buttons. It would not connect to Amazon prime or Netflix so I basically had to use my phone to watch movies. The repair guy came the first time when I couldn’t simply turn the TV on using the remote but when I reported the tv freezing and being slow to respond to changing the channels and no connect to Netflix or Amazon nobody came. Even though I called 3 times. I will never stay at aloft in Harlem. Horrible experience.

My godmother lives in Harlem so visiting her is easy from this location by walking or Uber. Everyone here is always so helpful and kind. Great dining recommendations and things to do as well. Enjoy staying here each time we visit. Only thing I miss is a microwave for late night popcorn or heating leftovers.

Property is conveniently located in Harlem and the staff was pleasant. However the room was small and worn, no microwave in room, and tiny fridge. Probably will not be my 1st choice to stay when I return to Harlem.

This hotel could use some updating. Half of the machines in the gym don't work and the carpets are very old and dingy. The staff is terrific but wish the hotel itself was a bit fresher

Wonderful Hotel
Aloft Harlem, was a wonderful place to stay. Each member of the team was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean, with a beautiful bar and perfect location. I will be back!

The accommodations were suitable for our limited stay. It got the job done without the bells and whistles. The area was super busy so each day there was a police/ambulance siren wake-up call.

Overall I gave this property 2 stars, because the staff was great & the location was only a block away from the subway so that was great. The first room we were assigned you could smell a strong smoking smell from the hallway, inside the room it was terrible, we had to ask for a room change. The new room’s bathroom was not great, there was mold in the shower. When we would get back to the room at night the lights would not work in the room, it would start working after clicking the light switch a few times. Good things about the property were the staff, how comfortable the bed was and the cleanliness from housekeeping. However the property condition was not so great.

Nice hotel with no extra conveniences
The hotel was okay. It wasn’t great but suited my needs quite well. Room was basic. Wish they had an included breakfast. Very comfortable bed. The night bar was a great featur for relaxing in the evening.

Hotel was not aware that I paid for breakfast, which is a major inconvenience. Hotels and make sure they are up-to-date with the reservations for customers and pay for breakfast in advance. I should not have had to look through 1 million emails to find my proof of paying for breakfast.

The entry was a bit confusing, It would be helpful if there were signs to point to check in and the elevator to get from street level to check in. Staff was fantastic I didn't get a super clean cozy feel from the check in area or the room. I didn't find anything dirty though in my room.
