Dogwood Cabin near Ash Cave

Looking for a romantic getaway? All wood log cabins on private property located in the Hocking Hills area just 10 minutes from Ash Cave/Cedar Falls. Private hot tub, full kitchen, charcoal grill, fire ring with firewood available Pond with gazebo on site.
Dogwood sits at the very top of the hill of our stays. You'll enter through the front porch, where you'll find a unique set of chairs to sit and take in the woods. Inside, you'll find an Indian theme of reds and browns. You'll be greeted by the sitting area and a gas log fireplace. On the other side is our fully equipped kitchen, off that is your bathroom. In the loft is your bedroom with a sturdy queen size bed. Out the back is a screened in porch with your own private hot tub.

Great cabin close to hocking hills

Loved the cabin! The road going up to it is definitely an adventure. Would definitely stay here again! The hosts were super responsive to any requests and had great recommendations to local restaurants!

Dogwood cabin

Great place for a weekend getaway. Close enough to everything and yet very quiet and peaceful. Very clean and comfortable. Would come back for sure!!

Great cabin

The cabin was absolutely perfect for the 2 of us. Beautiful location. The cabin was very clean and welcoming. The hot tub was glorious after a day of hiking.

Weekend Getaway

This was our 2nd stay at this cabin and it was just as fun and relaxing as the 1st. Everything is clean and the location is quiet and peaceful. The owners are very quick to respond when questions. We will definitely be back again.

Birthday get away

After a long drive this property was so beautiful and peaceful nothing around. The property managers are very kind and informative. This cabin was beautiful and clean just perfect for a break away and recharge. In fact im looking at some dates for another trip.

Awesome weekend getaway

Cabin was cozy, nicely decorated and as/more than listed. Watched squirrels in the trees while relaxing in the hot tub. Gas log fireplace was a nice touch while unwinding from hiking and sightseeing. Would 100% recommend. Dave and Caroll were fantastic. They truly care about those staying in their cabins. Nice Valentine's day decorations. Heavy rain then snow. Dave called to check on us and give warnings about flooding. Great job!

Oakwood cabins dogwood

This place is a little private piece of heaven. Super nice and quite. Hot tub is amazing and the cabin itself is adorable. Only downfall to the dogwood was the loft bedroom was quite warm all weekend due to the gas fireplace coming on by itself and staying on all night. Other than that we had an amazing time and will definitely be back. Dont forget your fishing poles either. The pond out front of the property is fully stocked with bass and big bluegill that you can catch and release all day long.

A Must Stay-cation

Hubby and I reserved Dogwood cabin, recently, for a few days. This cozy cabin with a fully functioning kitchen, is located on a secluded hill, with everything needed for our mini-vacation. Quiet, rustic, scenic, and an easy place to unwind. The hot tub, was a fantastic way to relax before bed. A true treat. This cabin is not only clean, but very comfy. Queen-sized bed in upstairs loft, was comfortable, as were fluffy pillows. Simple functioning fireplace, made a cool night warm up quickly. Campfire and grill under the stars, was just what we needed. There are convenient reasonably priced firewood bundles nearby for your campfires. The hosts, were most helpful, and friendly. We definitely recommend Oakwood Cabins!

Remarkable Secluded Getaway

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was everything we wanted in a cabin getaway! We were so impressed at how clean the cabin was. Everything you could possibly need was provided. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was the oven does not work (bottom heating element is cold to the touch) and the handle is broken off the microwave, making it difficult to open. We brought all of our food with us to cook- luckily I was able to circumvent those appliance challenges and our planned meals were otherwise successful. The hot tub and fire pit were our favorite part, along with sitting on the nice, large porch in the mornings to enjoy our coffee with a view. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend this place to others!

Not the best

While we enjoyed our time at the cabin itself, our experience did not meet our expectations as well as we had expected. The driveway to the Dogwood Cabin is incredibly steep and was not able to be driven in due to the snow. We had to park at the bottom of the driveway and make trips up and back to carry in our belongings. Upon checking in (5:10pm), we called the number listed in the email and front porch of the check in office to express this concern and no one answered the phone. We did not receive any phone call back. This, along with a few minor inconveniences caused our stay to not go as well as we had hoped. There is no sponge in the kitchen, which is frustrating as we had to clean our own dishes upon checking out. The cabin itself was very cute and well decorated. The hot tub was nice to have and the bed was comfortable.
