Mid City 2 BR in Beautiful Arts and Crafts House

The house is an early 20th century Arts & Crafts style triplex with original details intact, including a fireplace in the dining room, and original heart pine woodwork, oak floors and bathroom tile.

House was renovated in 2018 and received a new kitchen, refreshed bathroom.

We live on the other side and a regular tenant lives downstairs. This is not a party house, we're looking for quiet guests who will enjoy our home and neighborhood. At least one of the guests must be over 21. We are just four blocks from the Canal Street streetcar line, which will take you to City Park or downtown and the French Quarter.

Late check-in is fine, because the door is operated with the code and not a key.

House is nicer to stay at than a hotel
Mike was very helpful to make our vacation to New Orleans great. He was very personable and had a great attention to detail. The house is located 15 minutes from the French Quarter using the historic streetcar. Much better to stay in a house vs a hotel ... a home away from home!

A few hiccups, but would stay again
The property and owners were great! Unfortunately, our visit started with the air conditioner not working. I contacted the owners and they got a repairman out the next day. Unfortunately he did not have all of the parts to fix it at the time, so we ended up with two pretty hot nights. That said, all of this was out of the owners’ hands and they did everything they could to help, including providing a window AC unit for our toddler’s room (the hottest room in the house). The only other minor issues were that only one of the stove burners worked and the water filter on the fridge needed to be replaced. The owners offered to try and get the stove looked at as well, but I specifically told them not to worry about fixing it during our stay because I really only needed the one burner. It really was a series of unfortunate events with the AC and appliances, and I don’t blame the owners at all because these things just happen sometimes. Even with all of these issues, we really loved the house and location and would definitely stay there again in the future. The owners were thoughtful and responsive throughout everything and demonstrated why they have earned such a high rating!

NOLA First Timers
This apartment (a unit in tri-Plex) is clean, warm and safe. Quiet neighborhood. Location is easy walk to Canal Street street car line. No need for rental car if you are staying in the City. Having host next door is nice for any questions or issues which may arise. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Find!
My family came to New Orleans for the New Orleans Bowl. This home was a great find! The house was very comfortable-everything we needed was there. We had our own parking space in the driveway. This location was close to every venue we went to. We just took Ubers and never had to move our car. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to reach. We would definitely stay there again!

Great location
This apartment was the coziest rental I’d ever stayed in. It was in a great location, walking distance to the trolley which took us straight into the French Quarter. Felt like a true home away from home. Would definitely recommend!
