The room was very clean, the restaurant's were in walking distance, Bourbon Street was in walking distance and parking garage was across the street, very convenient, really didn't need my car!! I will stay there again.
The rating for this property is a bit deceiving. The actual room was pretty dingy and I was thankful we were only staying one night. Any longer, I would have looked for alternative accommodations. Everything needs some updating, especially the carpet and the furniture, but bathroom and sheets seemed clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I'm someone who's AuDHD (autistic and ADHD) for context. We chose this place to stay because it was super close to the building where a show we were going to see was. The hotel itself was really nice. Comfortable and clean. My only complaints: 1. The water starts running at room temp after five minutes of showering, 2. Three of the four ceiling fan light bulbs were broken (not too big of a deal for me, but maybe for others), 3. They tell you to keep the noise down after 10pm, but the bar connected to the hotel sure doesn't. The area around the hotel was very, very loud, very overstimulating for me (AuDHD). The room is fairly sound proof, but it was difficult to sleep until the bar finally died down... After 10pm, as mentioned. Overall, I'd give this place a 7/10. Would be a very nice hotel if it weren't for the area it's in, specifically the super loud bar.
Neal was wonderful. I also really like the room and location.
We had some issues with the cable and internet, but that was an issue in the area.
Overall, a great experience and I plan to return.
The good: Right on Canal St and wraparound balconies allow for good views and sights. Just a couple blocks from
The bad: No on site parking. Being right on Canal St, be prepared for a lot of noise. Not the hotels fault, but if you want to be where the action is, prepare to hear the action.

Great location right on Canal Street! Hotel doors were locked when we tried to check in early. Walls were paper thin! I could hear everything that was happening in the next room. It was good enough if you’re wanting to a bed and shower.
I was kind of surprised when walking through the door to the front desk. It was linens piled up everywhere and not like any front desk I’d seen anywhere but the girls were very nice & checked us in with no problems. The room was great with a sitting room, bathroom & bed room! Everything was clean and I loved the high ceilings in this old hotel. Our concert was across the street so it was really convenient.

The staff was nice and helpful. We would have felt more comfortable with staff on premises 24/7. The place could use some updates. It would have been nice if there would have been counter space in bathroom. Carpet needs to be replaced badly. Both carpet and wooden floors were grimy. Overall it was ok for a 1 night stay and it was convenient as we were attending a concert at the Orpheum across the street and parking was just across the street. Had a bit of Nola ambience with the brick walls.
The staff was very pleasant and friendly. There was hallway access to a wrap around balcony that was very neat. The things I did not like prob outweighed the good though….it was hot at night as the ax never seemed to fully cool the place off. The ac unit was in the wall hidden behind a curtain at the head of the bed. It was VERY VERY loud. We did not get much sleep because of this. There were a few dead cockroaches in the unit and in the hallway. Great they were dead but still it freaks me out. The shower just kind of hung and did not spray out. They did tell me they would fix this upon check out.
I would call this a 'boutique hotel'. It's situated just off Canal street, with various restaurants, pharmacies, etc within easy walking distance. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay.
Main issues:
- When booking on Expedia, checkin was listed as 3pm and checkout 11am. Once booked, hotel said 4pm and 10am, with extra charges for being early or late.
- Hotel front doors were permanently locked, with a code required to enter. Hotel said they would provide in advance, but we did not receive it. So upon arrival, we had to wait for another guest to enter so we could get in.
- Hotel seemed to be run by a small skeleton staff. There were not always someone at front desk. We were given various phone numbers to call if we needed something. But we were from out of country and did not have roaming, so this was not a good option.
- We found the hotel overall dingy and not well maintained. Carpet and some furniture stained. Bathroom vanity was loose. Bathtub stained. Various doorknobs loose. That said, bedding and towels seemed clean.
- Hotel is across from at least one late-night establishment. Our room was facing the street and we heard yelling, etc until late at night.
We paid $500 CAD for one night, presumaby because we stayed during a busy season. But overall, we did not feel we got good value for money spent. Would not stay here again.
Stay was amazing. I came in earlier than expected and they had some of their staff go out of their way to get my room ready and allowed me to check in 6 hours early.
Hotel is conveniently located, staff was friendly and helpful. There is a very nice little bar attached to the hotel which I enjoyed very much.
