This really was the hidden GEM! Girls weekend to hocking hills couldn't have been better! The house was clean and decorated the cutest! It had everything we needed and then some! Having firewood on site was a bonus. Shawn was responsive and even left us some cookies upon arrival! Would come here over and over again!
First of all, I would like to thank the owner for the wonderful stay and thoughtful gifts for my anniversary! My boyfriend and I scheduled a short 3 day trip to the Hidden Gems Cabins for our 5 year anniversary and it was simply amazing. The views were wonderful, it was secluded with additional privacy fencing, the hot tub was very comfortable (with adorable hanging lights!), there was firewood already at the cabins, and so much more! The wonderful owner got my boyfriend and I a very thoughtful anniversary card and also had cake and an adorable hershey/rose petal heart display laid out on the counter upon our arrival! I really wish I could add the beautiful pictures I took of everything, but just imagine it for yourself and book your stay! Thank you again, Shawn!
GPS directions: use "Hidden Gem Cabins", not the address
Stayed for the weekend during Nelsonville Music Festival. Cozy set-up. Fire pit, hot tub, hammock posts all made for a relaxing stay. Just make sure that when you Google or Waze directions, you search for "Hidden Gem Cabins"... If you only enter the address, Google may take you 1/2 mile or so down the road. Property manager helped get us back on track. If you're going to be in and out, I recommend downloading an offline map of the area since service can be spotty (service at the cabin was good).
Beautiful cabin. Other cabins are fairly close by but strategically placed privacy fences allow for open feel while providing privacy. Drawbacks are: water pressure was hit and miss. One time it would be great but wait a minute and it would drop, then fluctuate. Also hot water did not allow for a 5 minute, warm shower the first night. Second night was slightly better with the hot water holding out for a 10 minute slightly warmer shower. Even with the water difficulties we would stay again. The host is wonderful and friendly. Very quick with responses and follow-up.
Good site to be alone with that special someone.
Kudos to management for prompt response to a non-working hot tub I managed to (accidently) disable. Did not impact our good time.

Nice property but could use a few touches
The cabin was nice overall, but cleanliness definitely could have been improved. Silverware and kitchen items/area were dirty in several spots, oven was broken and many ants were seen. The upper windowsills and ceiling fans were coated in dust. Bathroom had a quite awful sulfur smell from sewer gas after flushing once upon arrival that took hours to go away, and we also found a large pile of animal (dog?) poop right outside the front door that was almost stepped in. The yard and view were nice, but navigating to the area was somewhat difficult between the backroads and road markers.
