It's not a good story. My sister became very unwell and I rushed to be with her, booking the accommodation in haste. My sister passed away 12hrs after I arrived. I loved everything about the accommodation but have sad memories.

The Hotel Nelson
Room was simple but clean, staff were very attentive, location is nice and central. Quiet area - even when we stayed over New Year's Eve. Pool isn't huge, but was still a hit with the kids.

Rutherford Hotel Nelson
Did not have breakfast Clean room Staff lovely Air conditioning good TV terrible could not get most of the channels When phoned downstairs they said they thought they were upgrading some of the TV - not at all helpful.
