"Reception staff very welcoming. Hotel very old and carpets very threadbear in halls and stairs. Bathroom had stain on flooring and there was mildew on bath/shower mat. No plugs by bedside . Mattress very lumpy "

"The room is basic but didn’t have anything like a hairdryer like most hotels have, the water system made a terrible racket all the while I had to close the bathroom door so I could sleep, also when I booked it offered breakfast it’s the only reason I booked the hotel over other options available so disappointed to be told there is no breakfast offered, the staff were lovely and very helpful."

"We were made to feel as though we didn't belong there and it was all due to the colour of our skin.It wasn't what they said it was how they acted. "

"The room was great and looked if it had recently been refurbished. The restaurant is being refurbished so no food was available but this was made clear when booking. The bar was open, which was good. Will stay again and happy to recommend."
