  • Timber Ridge is a 600 sf cozy cabin apartment, 2 miles from the Natchez Trace and 6 miles southwest of Franklin Business district (Cool Springs), historic Franklin, and Battle of Franklin sites in a beautiful hillside, wooded setting. Built as a vacation rental with total privacy in mind for the guest, the owners live upstairs and have separate entrances for the guest - there is no “common area”. The guest enters through the red door on the side, see the pictures! Only 30 minutes from downtown Nashville and all of its attractions. This getaway on 9 acres of wooded hills sits in a Gatlinburg-like setting. Beautiful stone wood burning fireplace with 50 inch smart HD television make the nights very cozy in this ideal setting. Giga-speed fiber internet and YouTube TV with over 100 channels are both included. In the middle of a famous biking, hiking and scenic drive area year-round.

    Country kitchenette, which includes stainless steel dishwasher, portable cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator, can be used for breakfast/meals. Outdoor patio includes hot tub, grill and Adirondack chairs.

    Our property has a Ring doorbell camera on the front of the structure for safety. Guest privacy is always respected.

Peaceful Retreat

Charming and peaceful stay while we were in the area for our granddaughter’s high school graduation. The property is lovely, right in the woods and the bed was very comfy.

This is a great little place to stay and very easy to get to nearby Franklin and other historic sites. Very clean and well kept. Small things that need attention are the hot tub operation and area, the outdoor grill, the fireplace and firewood quality. The laundry is only available upon request and apparently is shared with the owner. We enjoyed our visit and if we return to the area will definitely be looking it up. Love this place.

Anniversary getaway

The cabin was a perfect quiet place to enjoy a weekend alone. The cabin is beautiful, the kitchenette had what we needed to make a few quick meals, and the hot tub was a treat. The owners were quick to respond and helpful!

Timber Ridge

Very quaint, quiet little 1 bedroom suite. It has all the amenities that you would need for a quiet and relaxing weekend trip. Our host were accommodating to our needs.

Franklin Retreat

This is a very beautiful property and a great location just outside Franklin. There is easy access to the famous Natchez Trace trail and scenic road as well as many other attractions in the area. You actually stay in one of 2 apartments, we stayed in the downstairs apartment, which is nicely decorated and very cozy, neither rental is the tall A frame room/house that is pictured. Great place to spend some relaxing time in a beautiful part of the country, just south of Nashville.

Beautiful Woodland Cabin Retreat

The property, accommodations and hosts were wonderful. We experienced a nice, peaceful, wooded, cabin retreat. A joy to stay at outside of the main center of town. Any concern we had was handled promptly. Only 1 concern, as Senior Citizens, we had to walk down several soft railroad tie steps in order to access our downstairs living quarters and the outside light was placed in a spot that we couldn't see the key lock without a flashlight at night.

LOVE this place!!

We fell in love with Franklin and Nashville and this place was the icing on the cake! It is so cozy and inviting! Most nights we’d fall asleep on the couch as we’d worn ourselves out! We’d eventually make it to the comfy bed and rest just long enough to get up and explore again! Everything was spotless! We had everything we needed and even got to do laundry before we left. Thank you for opening your little piece of heaven to us!!

Lovely little cabin

Pretty area. Hot tub was a nice bonus along with the wood burning fireplace. Plenty of firewood also available. Kitchen is very small… not many cooking amenities, but was functional for us. I would recommend an upgrade on the toaster oven or at least get a toaster. Decor was lovely and comfortable beds. My only concern was the noise from above at night. Not much sound proofing between floors. The ambiance and location is great. I would rent again.

Timber ridge review

Property very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Bed very comfortable. Sleeper couch can use an upgrade as it was very uncomfortable in my opinion. I do recommend updating the listing photos to clearly display the clients will be staying under the host’s house as I feel the listing details are a tad vague again in my opinion. There was a lot of noise coming from the hosts above late at night. Over all 3/5 wouldn’t recommend going here with small kids but would for a couple without small kids.
