Great location near fabulous Stanislaw Square - we stayed overnight driving northern Italy to Calais; our room faced front and with the window open there was quite a lot of noise- not the hotel’s fault but something to bear in mind

Fantastic location, but when we were there a problem with the boiler meant we had no hot water. Definitely annoying but otherwise stay was great.

Delightful hotel in central position. Retro in style but with modern facilities, friendly staff and good breakfast. Warmly recommended. Two tram stops or 15 mins walk from TGV station.

Great Location!
Hotel was about a block from the square, where there was a light show at 10 PM. There was an elevator. Our room had AC and a wonderful shower. Bed was comfy.

Excellent location in the centre of Nancy. Very nice traditional hotel. Car-parking in multi-story very closed reasonable (€25 for two days and nights)

Lovely hotel in great location
Central location right by the cathedral. Parking 2 minutes walk away in public car park, but you can drop off bags right outside the hotel. Lots of restaurants in the area (although some of those recommended were shut for the August holidays). Very helpful staff. Adequate breakfast (very good coffee). Room was smallish but very comfortable bed and proper old furniture. Bathroom with stained glass window was lovely. Cleaning of bedroom excellent. Bedrooms in great condition; corridors a little tatty. Great for an overnight or two day stop. Lack of comfortable bedroom seating or lounge area may put you off for a longer stay.

Excellent hotel, very comfortable with courteous and very professional staff. I loved the "caché'of this unique place a block being Stanislas Plaza. Great shower.

Nice hotel close to town & historic sights
Hotel was a joy to return to after very hot sight seeing. A wonderful surprise to have a fan in each room. Bathrooms very unique and spacious. Would definitely return.

Lovely city
We enjoyed this hotel. The location was great. We were able to walk to the beautiful square and to best shopping street. The bathroom was a bit odd because there was only a half wall, so no privacy. And the breakfast was an added fee.

Hotel is centrally located next to the Cathedral and Stanislas Place, which is a good location for most sites and transportation with Tram line in front on hotel. Rooms and baths are somewhat small, but comfortable. No parking on site, but a low cost public parking garage is across the street. Well suited and charming hotel for a short visit to Nancy. J & J

Well situated for a visit to Nancy's best features
Lovely hotel, just next to the cathedral and within easy walking distance of the outstanding Stanislas square and the numerous beautiful Art Nouveau buildings. Also, not a long walk to the station. The rooms had evidently at one time been monks' cells. Our room had a good en suite robust shower and was cleaned impeccably every day. The heating kept it warm but also rather too dry overnight, so we ended up leaving the window slightly open to let in some water vapour. The hotel has no alcohol licence, and there was no coffee or tea in the room, which we didn't mind but some people might. Breakfast was a nice mix of cold meats, cheese, muesli, rolls or bread and jam, coffee, and so on.

The manager was very helpful and considerate in giving us directions for nearby activities. The petit dejeuner was wonderful. Great location by the Stanislas Square.

What a spot!
The most lovely, old convent turned into a quality hotel! This hotel is actually attached to the Cathedral in Nancy ( a must see) and only a block from Stanislas Place! Aside from some very squeeky (but charming) floorboards...............it was a dream. Beautiful canopy beds, with lovely linens, and a great, courteous staff. Highly recommended.

Not good! Although secure parking for my disabled partner had been requested and confimed, we arrived after a 10 hour journey from Italy to find only payable public parking! We had to accept it as it was too late to find anywhere else. Bokking in we then found we had been placed on the 3rd floor, and due to heavy rain the previousday day, the lift was not working there was no tv and no wifi! The young girl, who was on her own, had to carry our luggage to our room. It was a great shame as the hotel was very beautiful and we could not go out the next day in the car as we had intended as we would loose the only disabled space, and would have had to pay money into the machine every 3 hours. The hotel also had no restruant although I had asked if they had on booking, so we had to go out each evening which we had hoped not to do with Mr. Markham being disabled. Hotels really should tell the truth when asked specific details to do with secure parking ect as it is very important if you are both touring with a car and disabled. Feed back on this complaint would be nice.

Characterful hotel just by the main shopping area, a stroll from the main St Sulphis Square which is beautiful, skip breakfast in the hotel which looked quite cramped, and go to the square, great, cheap breakfast overlooking the beautiful architecture and gates

Positives: Very clean. Great building and good quality furniture and fittings. Helpful and friendly staff. Negitives: Can not see why it is rated 3 star as it has very few facilities. No private parking. No lounge or bar. No restaraunt Is more upmarket bed and breakfast accomodation than a proper hotel. A request for an egg for breakfast was refused, which should be included for the relatively high cost of breakfast (extra cost on top of room rate).

Excellent hotel near centre of city.
Probably not the best hotel for those with children looking for sports and swimming, this elegant hotel close to the historic world heritage site square is excellent for those keen to explore the city on foot. The hotel is an historic buillding, formerly the residence of the bishop, right by the cathedral. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms excellent. Rooms are not air conditioned; this was not a problem in May! There is no restaurant; the numerous restaurants of the city centre are within ten minutes walk.

JUST THE TICKET!
Very pleasent stop off hotel. Located perfectly for the square, shops and restaurants. Down side was limited parking and lack of air con in the room , however for a three star hotel couldn't complain as it was reasonably priced and very clean . Our room was at the front of the hotel and as the trams ran along the main road we had to leave the windows closed because of the noise , beyond this no complaints.

The hotel has beautiful rooms in its "prestige" designations for the hotel. The less expensive rooms looked fairly ordinary. The bathroom and shower facilities were wonderful. Since my room faced the front of the hotel, onto the plaza next to the Cathedral, it got full afternoon sun and was unbearably hot during the summer days, even with the shutters closed. The hotel staff were helpful and polite, but the hotel did not even possess a wine bottle opener when we requested one (there were none in the rooms either), and a request for ice cubes produced a small bowl of three small cubes. Since the rooms don't have minibars or mini-fridges, it was hard to keep anything cold in the room. I had bought some local candies which melted in the heat, for instance. The proximity to Place Stanislaus in Nancy was wonderful; lots of good museums and restaurants are in walking distance. The Art Nouveau district was about 20-minute walk. I walked to the hotel from the train station as well.

Great base from which to explore Nancy and Lorraine
This is a high quality hotel with good service and an excellent location. For a visitor, its proximity to Stanislaus Square and the historic district of Nancy make it a great choice. Parking is very near the hotel and reasonably priced . The breakfast was good and the service was excellent. The hotel was quiet, felt safe, and comfortable. There are little quirks (heater/AC operation, small TV with few stations, very hot water (careful), no bathroom door (curious), no refrigerator, limited ice, no coffee maker) that make it different from a standard US hotel, but none of these was detracted from the overall experience. After all, we came here to experience new things.

J'ai réservé une chambre pour mon passage à Nancy pour voir ma compagne à la Saint Valentin, en me basant sur les photos et les 3 étoiles de l'hôtel. Honnêtement, j'ai été déçu que l'état de l'hôtel ne reflète pas du tout l'état sur les photos. Pire, les images illustrant la chambre choisie ne correspondaient pas. Certes, il s'agit d'un monument historique mais les chambres pourraient être mieux rénovées. Il faisait froid dans la chambre, l'éclairage était trop bas et les produits d'hygiène au minimum obligatoire. Le parking était finalement complet et il fallait refaire le tour (avec les travaux) pour aller au parking Stanislas. Bref, heureusement la personne à la réception était sympathique.
