The bedsheets were not changed for 4 days and it stank. The bed is basically squeaky boards. The towels were not always replaced and I had to use my own. The staff was friendly though and it it was safe.

Stay away

We booked a hotel after beeing on a safari so that we could have a relaxing stay without any hassle. We booked the stay a couple of hours before checking in and the hotel confirmed the booking right away. When we arrived we got told that it was something wrong with our room ( why were we not informed about this before arriving?) and that we would stay at a hotel next doors that they owned. Turns out it was an appartment hotel so we needed to walk over to the hotel for breakfast and if we wanted to use the gym, which isn’t what we had wanted since we wanted a hassle free stay. The wifi barely worked and we got kicked out all the time. We had payed extra for the breakfast ( about 10$ each) and the breakfast was not good at all. There was nothing to put on the sandwiches except for butter, the toaster for the bread was not working well so the bread either got black or not toasted at all. The selection of breakfast was very sparse and we saw one table that even brought some extra items to the breakfast so that they could have a decent breakfast. When we checked out we requested a refund on the difference in price of the hotel and the appartment ( the price we payed for the hotel was about double the price of the appartment). From the start they didnt want to compensate us at all and said that the price was the same for both, but according to their website that was a lie. After alot of discussion we got about 50% of the difference back. Defenitly do not recommend.

This place had more then we expected and was a nice surprise. They may want to mop the floors a little better, but loved the space we had and having a full kitchen was fabulous.

The staff were friendly, helpful,and followed up, in short excellent. Five stars. The hotel was clean and well located in safe area walking distance to malls and stores. Not a lot of fancy aminities or manicured grounds, it is a high rise style hotel but very good value for your money. Restaurant is a bit limited but food was good and again staff was first class. The hotel driver arranged a great day long trip to a lake with nice fish lunch.

There was little or no hot water on both days of our stay. One of our rooms had an emergency exit in the room. The stairs outside of the door were used by staff and it was very noisy early in the morning and throughout the night. At breakfast, bread had some mold

The hotel was generally good, rooms spacious and cosy and certainly balcony is very useful. Restaurant staff was really nice and friendly. A little negative detail was that when guest from another room came to visit, we got a call from the staff, inquiring why there are currently 3 people in our room while it's a room for two guests. I had to explain that the person just came to have chat and later going to his own room. This left impression like privacy is not much respected and the guests movements within hotel are somehow observed too much. I am a frequent traveller and it was first time something like that occured. But overall good hotel with fine facilities and can offer enjoyable stay.

Comfortable Hotel in Quiet Area

This is a good, clean, secure hotel in a good area. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the wifi worked well. The room did not have air conditioning, although it was not needed anyhow. The room had a balcony. The food in the restaurant was of variable quality, but was generally okay. I would be happy to return to this hotel.

Superb value for business traveler

Westend Hotel is a superb value three star business hotel. Located is Westlands (which is rapidly becoming the main business district). Immediate hotel surroundings are nothing special but you are a 5-10 minute walk from shopping malls, restaurants, and night life. Rooms are comfortable and super clean. The on site restaurant offers a full (and large) selection of food 24 hours. Service impeccable and the food is very good. They have conference rooms, gym & spa (which I didn’t use). AND ... superb value with several room options for less than $100

Food was good. The gym and spa are ok. The room was spacious and comfortable. Location quite scary though. And the receptionist should have more manners and respectful. Accept mistakes that you had done. Make sure always assign the right room to the guests. Overall poor in professionalism.

Strongly recomment with this price

I spent 2 nights there. On the day of check in, our room type was full, we got a free upgrade for first night. We has a early day tour departure, 4:30am. They offer us a pick breakfast which we did not expexted for. The staff there are very nice. Comfort bed, hot shower, quiet and good breakfast.

The hotel is quite good for the price. They offer a good variety of food for breakfast, free water bottles every day, the free WiFi that is quite fast. The hotel staff is extremely nice and attentive to customer needs. The location is very good, you can walk to Westgate mall and neighboring places. The only issue I see is that hot water was not working very well.

We had 3 rooms and in 1 room the bottom sheet was not clean (small blood stain) Each double bed has 2 pillows, quite thin, it would be nice two pillows per person. Wifi was not great Otherwise very comfortable, nice staff and good restaurant.

Hotel Westend, Westlands, Nairobi.

Well it was a good night stay. We were welcomed at the reception which is on the 7th floor. They were clueless about our booking and rates, etc. nevertheless we were taken to our room. Since we were tired after a long journey we decided to have a nice hot shower, the hot water refused to oblige. The attendant the got is shifted to another room after which we were comfortable. The attendant was very apologetic. The staff wants to keep you happy at all times. Breakfast was lovely and the restaurant is on the top floor which allows for a view of Nairobi - awesome. Would I go there again? Yes I woukd.

I stayed for 10 business days and I like it, top close to Westgate mall and can wake 10 minutes to in morning and it's safe place and the toilat contains Sprayer which is too great for people used to use it

Staff was very helpful. Repair work noise lasted well past 1130 pm which was annoying. Room was very nice and the hotel was in a good location.
