Overall I had a good stay at Compass and would book again when in Nagoya. The breakfast was small and simple but had enough basic options. Room was small but well appointed. Property is very handy to Nagoya Station and close to many good dining options. This hotel is also very affordable which is a bonus.

Enjoyed my stay here. Its a small room for very affordable price close to the Nagoya Station. Even includes a simple breakfast in the morning. Friendly staff.

Property was small but comfortable. Sitting in the lobby for visiting and working on the computer. The breakfast in the morning was very good. The staff were very friendly!! Would absolutely staff here again!!!

The staff did explain the cleaning policy is one cleaning per 3 days. I stayed for 4 nights and there was no cleaning at all. Imagine 4 nights with tonnes of used towers in room and full trash bin. All the blankets and bed sheets were not changed. The room hygine was terrifiying.

Overall good experience with a few "issues". If you ran the shower full blast, the shower drain couldn't keep up with it and would overflow the drain pipe located outside of the bathtub! You have to go down to the front desk to get extra towels. It is a great hotel for the price.

Be back on day

Near than train station, and so close to a beautiful fish market, but wake up early. Breakfast is very minimum but it was not mentionned in the reservation, sonit was a good surprise to start the day worh a coffee.

Good value

Having an extra bench seat was nice, but it took some space out of storing space. Everything was a little tight, but it was clean, and the bed was big enough. We were there only one night, and overall it was very good.

Small and old hotel, not a lot of natural light and our window opened to the wall of the next building, so we didn’t get a lot of airflow. This hotel appears to be used a lot of salarymen who need a place to stay for a single night rather than multiple nights, as many of the rooms on our floor seemed to be getting a deep clean everyday at noon, but the location is conveniently close to the train buses and trams, and there is a Yoshinoya a few steps away, as well as two convenience stores. Staff were excellent, friendly, and very helpful, and the buffet was decent for the price. Wouldn’t recommend staying here for longer than three days, but the room was spacious and no complaints about the housekeeping.

Thank you so much for having us for 3 nights. We greatly enjoyed the convenient location (Close to 7-11 and a Family Mart) and walkable to Nagoya station (approx 10min with stroller and suitcases & even faster without them haha). The hotel has a hot water dispenser, a microwave, coffee machine, plastic cutlery & tea bags near the lobby's front bar. In the early mornings (6am+) they have a limited breakfast (eg yogurt, Danish). The room we booked was a double room (with that green couch on the far end). Handy mini fridge and water kettle included. Floor space: You can only open 1 big suitcase at a time and keep a folded stroller by door. Bed: had only 1 bed but it was big enough for me, husband, and toddler. Bathroom: coming from an airbnb, it was glorious. The water temps was easy to adjust, water easy to switch from sink to shower, and the toto bidet! ❤️ The couch: comfy & gives you a little more space to sprawl out. Also your toddler will love to jump from couch to bed. We didnt use the coin laundry machine but I saw other guests use it. Extra amentities bar: if you need hair brush toothbrush, more robes, etc., they are found at a mini desk by reception. Reception has extra towels and can even loan you an umbrella! Pola shampoo/conditioner: That stuff smelled heavenly and really nourished my hair. Nearby food/shopping: I suggest JR central towers. We would totally book again if going to Nagoya!

Room was clean and of the typical small kind for most Japanese hotels. They don't stock toiletries but do provide them in the lobby (take what you need). Laundry service was conveneint: washer 300 and takes around 30 mins. Front desk will give you detergent. Dryer is 100 for 30 mins. My load took an hour to dry. No formal breakfast, but they do provide coupons for breakfast type food and snacks. One coupon per guest per day. Free coffee in lobby. Location is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and around 2 mins.from 7-11.

Most Uncomfortable Stay

I booked a 15sqm double room for 4 nights. In the booking photo, the room had a bench by the bed which would have allowed my partner and I some space to lounge. We wanted to take things slow and wanted a room with a bit of space where we could rest. However, the room I was given had a column where the bench was supposed to be and the usable space was only about 12sqm. The hotel should not be selling this as a 15sqm room. My partner and I had to eat, pack, and check our mails and sleep on the bed. When back feeling all dusty from a day’s walk, we could only sit on the bed and after showering, crawl back onto the bed again. It was terrible and unhygenic. Also, with the aircon blowing over our faces and the dust under the bed, we could not sleep much those 4 days. I booked the hotel and my partner went into the room first. I attended to a call at the room walkway. When i turned around to look at the room, I was surprised at the space. I did not ask for a change as my partner had used the toilet and unpacked by then. He did not know the room was different from what I booked. Also, I thought it would be bearable. But the challenges became compounded as we realised how we could not breathe and sleep well in the room. Both of us had sinus issues. The last night I dropped something on the floor and accidentally realised to my horror that there was so much dust under our bed all along. No wonder we could not breathe well. I cannot in good conscious recommend this hotel
