Everyone in the office was very friendly and accommodating. Some of the appliances were rather old but useable. Nice place to stay. Would stay there again.

We stayed in the upstairs seahorse cottage for a week. We loved it! We had a fantastic time. The cottage was perfect for my family. Everything was in walking distance and my kids loved the pool. We will be returning and would love to book the same cottage next July 4th again. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean and the AC worked great. The kitchen does have slim supplies but still everything I needed to make meals daily. Thanks Midtown for an awesome stay!

We were there for a girls week. So we weren't in the room a lot but it was very dated and musty smelling. the furniture was very stained and dirty so we just kept it covered with the sheets that they did supply. They wanted us to get our own towels from the office and take our used ones back to the office. The pictures were nothing like the room. The view was amazing we were by the beach and when we sat on our porch it was quiet and we had the whole courtyard to ourselves which was amazing Donna the housekeeper was attentive and very very welcoming she talked with us every night she made sure we were comfortable she made our stay very enjoyable. Definitely was not worth what we paid

The rooms needs to be updated and needs renovations to be completed. The A/C in the rooms were so nasty and dirty, when we turned them on dust/moldy came out from it.

The cottage itself was nice, managers were easy to work with and accommodating. The unit does look like the photos that were posted on the hotels.com website. The only complaint we had was the general area. There were some shady characters down the road from these units, so it may not be the best location for a family with young children.

The address given from the reservation was incorrect, so finding the office was confusing. The pictures on Hotels.com were deceiving, they were not the rooms we got. The mattresses are hard as a rock and very uncomfortable!

We found the suite dirty. There were food particles left in the kitchen sink strainer. There was an unopened condom package on the floor by the bunk beds. The light switches and fixtures were filthy. The toilet bowl had a pink ring in it when we arrived indicating that it was not cleaned before we checked in. The floor was dirty. The kitchen range and oven were outdated and dirty. I let the shift manager know about the dirtiness of the unit upon check out and was directed to send pictures of the lack of cleaning to an email address. I did send the pictures and an expression of my disappointment with the condition of the unit in an email and received no response. The unit is only 3 blocks from the boardwalk which was a major reason for choosing the cottage. The neighborhood around the property is so-so.

Wow! What a piece of Myrtle Beach accomodation history. If you like swanky motel/cozy cottage travel accomodations, please consider checking in. The cottages are managed by Midtown Inn, check in and inquiries are completed at Motel office. Motor Court has full time cleaning and maintenance staff. We stayed at Seahorse Cottage. All linens, dishes, silver ware provided. If you forgot something, front desk staff will happily assist your forgetfulness. A 10 minute walk from the Atlantic ocean, Ocean Blvd. And amenities. Midtown Inn used to be right next to the Historic Pavilion and Pavilion amusement park, please watch a YouTube video of the old pavilion and Amusement Park if you are not familiar with MB history. We brought bicycles, as MB is a bike friendly area. We were in MB for the week at Ripken baseball a 15 minute car ride up an down 10th Ave (aka Mr Jos White Ave). A 30 min bike ride to Ripken. Night life and entertainment is MUCH more vibrante around the motel and off ocean Blvd then off Hwy 17. Many older motels are coming down the city has a revitalization plan. Long live the memories made at Midtown!

Quaint w/ Great Location (Basics Only)

We stayed in one of the cottages as opposed to the main motel. The hotel staff was friendly, and quick to act when we had questions. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get help (THANK YOU! :). The room had the basics: bed, dresser, side tables, TV, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There was a small clothing hook in the corner that could hold 5 garments if needed. Note: bring your own iron or steamer if you need things like that. The walls are paper thin, so I would recommend it to couples and groups of friends that are there on a budget, definitely not light sleepers. The Decor was cute and beachy and The room looked like it was recently renovated. Now, the LOCATION! We were able to walk to the beach and boardwalk in about 5-10 minutes, and less than a 10 minute drive for places to eat and things to do away from the strip. The area felt pretty safe, as it was a common destination for everyone visiting. I would stay there again, I really enjoyed my stay.
