Edullinen lähellä rantaa

Kohtuullinen hotelli. Joskus tilaisuus saada suht' edulliseen hintaan (30 OR / yö). Sijainti lähellä Qurumin rantaa on oivallinen. Parasta oli kun pääsi joka päivä kävelemään kilometrikaupalla rantaviivaa pitkin. Sopiva paikka juoksemiseen. Ruokakauppoja/ravontoiloit kävelymatkan päässä, mutta muualle pitää mennä taksille, kuten muutenkin Muscatissa.

Près de la plage, loin de la ville.

À 2 min. à pied de la plage, mais assez loin des autres attraits. Hotel très propre, personnel sympathique. Idéal si vous avez une voiture... Dans l'ensemble, j'ai adoré mon séjour à cet hotel. Bon rapport qualité-prix. Le déjeuner est excellent et complet.

Relaxing and friendly hotel

The staff were really friendly from when we arrived... they played with my 1 year old son and helped us both relax in their environment. One of the security staff also even bought my baby a small gift... really sweet

Very close to the beach in nice neighbourhood

Beach Bay Hotel is ideally located close to the beach. Staff were lovely. The area around is quiet and safe (lots of foreign ambassies). Be aware the Irish pub has music band on Thursday and Friday so if room is above it's gonna be noisy. We moved room for that reason and because constant noise from the pigeons tapping their beaks on the window -ask for a room without a window ledge. Decided to stay away from breakfast in hotel and instead walked 10 mins to Al-Shatti Plaza next to cinema: Crepe de licious cafe there is amazing. Also used pub in Grand Hyatt for dinner a couple of times: was good and served alcohol. All in all a basic hotel that does the job with reasonable value for money.

Convenient hotel

We request early check in in our booking and the hotel replied by email that it was ok. Then when we arrived, the receptionist blamed us for not requesting early check in! We gave him our booking confirmation and we even pointed out in his booking system the request we have made. It was his problem... He didn't read his booking in his computer! He kept saying he has no rooms! After a lot of negotiation, he agreed to ask his staff to clean a room for us. We waited for over an hour for a room (we booked two rooms). The other room we have to check in the afternoon. The day time receptionist was a lot better! Also breakfast was not good at this price. We went to the Grand Hyatt for breakfast.

Basis in Muscat

Im Botschaftenviertel gelegen – also mitten zwischen Flughafen und Altstadt, liegt aber daran, dass Muscat ziemlich langgezogen an der Küste liegt – anyway: ideal für Ausflüge und Besichtigungen mit dem Pkw, denn vor dem Hotel ist ein großer Parkplatz – immerhin neben dem Hyatt – und dahinter ist der Strand. Personal ist freundlich, das WLAN fix und stabil, die Zimmer (#104) angenehm groß und ein genügendes Badezimmer, in dem das Duschen auch Spaß macht. Essen: Auf das Frühstück habe ich im Hotel verzichtet. Fazit: Mehr kann man in Muscat ausgeben, muss man aber nicht – hier gibt’s gute Zimmer zum annehmbaren Preis.

Nice to be close to the beach. I asked for no-smoking room and got a room that had been smoked in. Make sure you get what you ask for.
