Great Cabin

4th of July Gathering
Our family including adult children really enjoyed the lovely unique timber cabin. The kitchen is fantastic with top of the line appliances. We took advantage of the large deck that wraps around the back of the house and played games in the backyard. Our only critique would be to encourage a little TLC which would put this beautiful home over the top!

Wonderful place for a long weekend away from the city. We enjoyed the grill, hot tub and steam room; played pool, and rented a boat nearby. Our dog loved exploring the huge yard and adjacent trails. Great time was had by all!

A wonderful weekend getaway
We had an outstanding family weekend getaway. The property is gorgeous and spacious with large patio that features a hot tub. This spot does not disappoint and would be great for any reason. We would definitely stay again!

Winter escape
This log cabin getaway is exactly as advertised. Tucked away on a oak treed knoll, a private driveway leads up to a welcoming covered portico. Swing open the front door and take in the high soaring ceilings, a field stone fireplace wall, an entire glass wall that makes you feel you are standing among the oaks themselves. The open concept interior is balanced by an authentic hunter / fisherman lodge motif. Cast aside the chill of winter with a wood burning fire or maybe the outside jacuzzi or, wait for it, a real multi-shower head walk in steam room. With permission, the owners will let you wander the surrounding fields and woods. Bring your dog! Bring your own firewood as well. Oh, and don’t forget a corkscrew for the wine.

2013 Winter Getaway
The cabin was beautiful, clean and warm even though it got down to -15. We also got 9 inches of snow and the property manager Tom O'Brian had the long driveway plowed and cleaned. Loved the Steam shower and the hot tub. Feels very secluded and well off the road. It's a very well built cabin and look forward to returning.

A note that people need to bring firewood, the inclusion of a cork screw in the kitchen…. And closer checking on cleanliness of dish. We needed something specific and we found this place. I have mixed feelings about my experience. First off, overall, it was OK. It served our purpose. It's huge. It's quiet. No one bothered us. The cabin was well stocked with things. The grounds are very well maintained. On the surface it is clean. On the flip side, there were a lot of negative aspects. There was barely water pressure, they have really nice stem room / shower that barely worked, but that was all the showers. The downstairs bathroom toilet didn't work. Outlets didn't work. People use it for parties it seems and a lot of furniture all around is broken or damaged in some way and there are a lot of marks inside the cabin. It was in a lot of ways run down. For me, for the price, I think it should have been taken care of better and be nicer. I have stayed at cabins in Gatlinburg that go through the same things and they are far better kept. All and all, it was enjoyable, if you are doing a party, it's perfect, but had I walked through it prior to the reservation, I definitely would not have rented it for that price plus the fees in the condition its in.

Let me start by saying, the pictures do not do justice into how nice of a property this is. It was the perfect winter getaway from Chicago for a group of friends. We loved the kitchen and how well the space brought everyone together. Our only complaint was the internet. We struggled to even stream music over Wi-Fi and were not able to watch Netflix without buffering issues, but the owner did let us know ahead of time. The basement and basement bedroom could use some area rugs to make it a little more cozy, but otherwise we loved our stay! The owners (David and Tom) are great and communicate effectively. We’re hoping to return again in the summer to use more of the deck and porch.

We could not have asked for anything better! This was our first VRBO experience and I hope all are as good as this. First, the pictures online do not show the true beauty of this property. It is so much better in person! Each and every detail of the home was so well thought out. It’s perfect! Our favorite part was sitting in hot tub in zero degree weather and looking up at the stars in the clear sky. Followed up by sitting with the family in the sauna. We really weren’t planning to use it until I spoke with the host who encouraged us to try it out. We thought it would be a hassle but I was wrong. So simple and built right off the master bedroom so we were only seconds from the door getting out in the cold. The host was very friendly and answered the couple of times we needed to reach out to him. He is nearby on site but the property is enormous so you would never run into each other. It’s a very private location. We used the kitchen a lot and it was well stocked. The only thing we were missing was ziplocks to put our leftovers in, so that might be helpful for someone else. It was also a huge bonus to be able to bring our dog with us. It was easy to let him out either through the front and also the walkout basement where we spent a lot of time playing games and pool. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We are all looking forward to visiting this property again!

The property was exactly as described, and could not have been more relaxing. Large glass floor to ceiling windows looking out into the trees. Secluded feel while still very close to town. Beautiful rustic interior, wonderful finishes, ample space, and just the perfect getaway. Floorplan was wonderful, fireplace heavenly, and couches perfectly comfortable to relax in front of the tv for a movie. Nice soak in the hot tub on a cool winter nice was also perfect! Would strongly recommend to anyone and we plan to return if available. Only drawbacks were a little later check in of 4:00 pm and a 10:00 am checkout. Nothing terrible. Took some time figuring out multiple remote controls also as there were 6 remotes for 2 TV's. If that was the worst of the stay, you know it is a wonderful place to stay!

Family Together
Our family of five adults and two young children enjoyed a lovely July 4th weekend in this special home. The style of this home brings you all together with its open concept and yet it feels roomy and spacious. We played games in the large yard and enjoyed using the hot tub, the outdoor grill and the pool table. We also spent time with the kids at nearby Mukwonago Park as well as taking a quick trip to Lake Geneva to see the town and do the lake walk. This secluded setting and special home provided a great space to reconnect as a family.

Perfect for intimate family time. Home is secluded but the property is very spacious.
It's beautiful at sun up and sunset. Lots of wildlife running through the spacious yard, the land is so beautiful. The house is great, lots of room and amenities. Private Home Tucked In Trees
We rented this beautiful home in Mukwonago, Wisconsin in March of 2021 and it was the perfect landing spot for our week and within easy driving distance of places we wanted to see, such as the Milwaukee Zoo and Holy Hill in Hubertus, Wisconsin. The property contact, Tom, is a wonderfully kind man who provided us with a dozen eggs from his chickens. Nothing beats farm fresh eggs! The home's description and details are correct. We rented this as our nation hit the year anniversary of the COVID pandemic, and this home was very clean upon our arrival. The master bedroom is large, contains a king sized bed, and has a large bathroom and walk-in shower. The steaming aspect of the shower is a nice amenity. We did have to review the instruction booklet in order to use it. There is an open loft area on the second floor which allows for good sleeping quarters. The loft is open with its railing overlooking the downstairs living/kitchen area so those sleeping in the upstairs loft may hear the downstairs' activity. There is a hot tub as described on the deck that is maintained in working condition, which we did use. There is a screened-in porch with table and chairs which would be delightful in the summertime. In the kitchen, as others have written, there is plenty of room for cooking and gathering. We brought along all of our own food, drink, and kitchen items necessary to prepare and clean up a meal. The coffee pot is a Krug with a built-in style filter, although we used a paper filter to put our coffee grinds in. One note is that the streaming service for the television in the main living area is definitely hit/miss. The home is in a rural area so knowing that going in can be planned for if one has children who maybe would be a tad upset if their movie/show kept stopping and rebooting. We were able to use their wifi for Internet surfing. This is a very nice rental home and is one that we recommend.

Beautiful property - accurately described.
Property is secluded and private yet close enough to everything you need. Home is gorgeous and well appointed. Communication was owner and manager were excellent. Only negative at all was the internet. We were not able to use the TV in the main living area due to the poor wifi (ROKU was the only available service for that particular TV and kids were not able to use their laptops) . The pool table and hot tub made up for it. Great stay and will definitely return in the future.

First of all Tom is a great vacation host. Why you ask: 1) Brought us fresh eggs for breakfast 2) Knew we were snowed in and ran to the Elegant Farmer to get us a pie. Best pie I ever had!!! 3) plowed out the long hilly drive after a 10” snow storm so now problems coming or going. The place has a hot tub and pool table and is very cozy for a family of 5. The kitchen is a great set up to cook in and have everyone engaged as it is an open plan. Great place and owners and highly recommend.

Accommodating kitchen for multiple people. The wet bar is a nice touch along with the water softening system, which is a necessity in mukwonago. The outdoor hot tub along with the steam shower makes for a spa day experience at your leisure. To top it all off the owner was kind enough to drop off a dozen fresh eggs from his hens. Overall, a delightful experience.

Wonderful NYE get away
My husband and our two friends and I got away for NYE and New Year’s day and had such a wonderful time in this beautiful and relaxing cabin. The kitchen is incredible and such a fun place to cook! The place was so clean and relaxing and the check in was as simple as can be! We would definitely recommend this cabin and this property manager.
