Pestana Group in Mpumalanga - Limpopo from AU$228

This was our 5th visit to Elephant Plains. It's the most affordable option in the Sabi Sands and an excellent place to stay. Since our 2022 visit, they have updated the rondovels. They're super comfortable with everything you need. Staff were great. They seem to have simplified the food options (an improvement) and the quality is great. You go to the Sabi Sands for the exceptional leopard sightings and amazing safaris. This place does not dissapoint - in one drive we had 2 leopard cub...

Not a restful holiday with 2 game drives daily, but worth it. saw the Big 5 within 24 hours. Staff were fantastic. Room spacious and great views.

Absolutely fantastic. The only down side (if it is a downside) is that there is simply too much great food to eat and little opportunity to work it off. 3 nights was enough and could safely get away with 2. Great break with no kids around.

We had the most amazing time at Motswari — truly unforgettable! Every moment was special. All the meals were excellent, with breakfast and dinner set in different beautiful locations each day, which kept things exciting. Our guide and tracker, Owen and George, were outstanding — incredibly knowledgeable and made sure each drive felt unique. We were lucky enough to see the Big 5 within our first two drives, and got incredibly close to the animals. Elephants and giraffes even wandered right past...

We arrived at Skukuza airport in the early afternoon… picked up by our guide it was a short 5min drive to Shalati. If you are lucky you can see the train on the bridge from the plane! Let me get this out of the way: the check in and check out process was not the best. We were ushered by an impatient staff to fill our paper work and finish lunch on arrival. We were left without hospitality on departure with numerous miscommunications by staff (eg. departure times / park ticket / exit letter...

Sausage Tree Safari camp is in big five country in the greater Kruger National Park. The facilities are stylish and many parts of Balule Olifants nature reserve have lovely views across the bushveld to the Drakensberg Mountains. Because of the number of lodges at Balule, we did not get the same feeling of wildness that we have experienced at private camps elsewhere in the greater Kruger. But our guide, Matthew Sussens, had the most exceptional knowledge of the animals and environment....

We have just spent 6 nights in Pafuri and it exceeded all our expectations. The lodging, the food, the game drives were all superb. Zach our guide was fantastic and had our teenage boys both mesmerised and inspired. The staff accommodated our every need and were so friendly. The setting by the river was stunning as were the animals that we encountered. I couldn’t recommend Pafuri more highly. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
