"The only reason I'm giving this place 4* is because the road leading down is gravel and not bery well maintained. The cabin itself is a paradise! The pond is beautiful, the ducks friendly, and the fast moving creek sounds lull you to sleep. I was very pleasantly surprised at how stocked the kitchen was with cooking supplies. The staff was friendly and the whole property is well maintained. "

"Clean room, friendly staff "

"The place is amazing, takes after its name literally."

"Love it! Will book again!"

"This is a nice property near Phabeni gate of Kruger National Park, which is just a 6 minute drive. Akani is a great host and if you need anything he will bend over backwards to help! You can park right next to your chalet, which is very helpful. - I personally hate lodges where you have to park a distance away! - There is a pub nearby that gets noisy at times, but if you run a fan it drowns out the noise. The property is very close to the main road and is very safe! "

"Fantastic location, fabulous breakfast with many homemade items and great hosts. "

"Simply Excellent for what i was looking for... Very private & Large cozy space !!! David was very accommodating to any requests and was prompt in communication among other qualities of a very good professional host."

"We had a marvellous time at Caracal Lodge. It was a wonderful away from it all experience. Magtree Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped even though there is no electricity, power being supplied by gas appliances, paraffin lamps and LED lighting. It was magical to wake up with views of the resident giraffe family as well as zebra, impala, horses and a pet pig! Outside there was a braai, fire pit in a lovely shaded area and a small pond. Exploring the 300 hectare game park there...

"Nous n'avons pas eu l'appartement réservé. Et ceci sans nous prévenir, nous avons eu 1 appartement mal entretenu, sombre et avec des pb d'électricité, sale.. Très décevant malgré un service correct... "

"This was the perfevct get away for us and would highly recommend. Facilities were of high standard and spotless. The private pool was also a big positive for us "

"I will not stay here again."

"Daily visits by bokke, warthogs, meercats, bushbabies was the standout. Great location, close to the sunset side of Croc River."

"A really comfortable, 'home away from home' venue. The setup is very well organized, and the stay was very pleasant and relaxing, with all the comforts of home under one roof. Love the view! We will be bringing the whole family next time!"
