There are a few different walking routes up to the Chateau but none were too strenuous (we are in our 60’s & 70’s)There’s a lovely Épicerie just 2 doors away where you can buy fresh baguettes, cheese, wine and other provisions, the staff there are extremely friendly.This was our first time in France and it was beyond our expectations."

"The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the medieval city of Carcassonne. If you are looking for a central hotel at a reasonable price this is the perfect choice. The room was a spacious apartment with separate living/kitchenette and bedroom. The bathroom was spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was well furnished and clean. The residents of the hotel were friendly and I think it is a good idea to utilise the spare rooms for hotel guests. The hotel had secure parking as well."

The room was clean and have everything we needed however the toilet was in what can only be described as a cupboard with no space at all.
