The best time to visit Mountainside is during the dry season, from May to September, for clear skies and comfortable temperatures, or the shoulder seasons of April and October for fewer crowds and good weather. The dry season offers consistently sunny days, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the national parks. Temperatures are generally mild, ranging from 15°C to 25°C, great for enjoying the region's natural beauty without the intense heat of summer. This period is particularly good for those looking to experience the extensive network of walking trails and wildlife viewing opportunities.April and October, the shoulder seasons, provide a pleasant balance. The weather is still very agreeable, with plenty of sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures than the peak dry season, usually between 20°C and 28°C. You'll find fewer visitors during these months, which means a more relaxed experience at popular attractions and potentially better value on accommodation. This is an excellent time for couples seeking a peaceful getaway with good weather for both outdoor adventures and relaxing by the pool. For those planning a trip around specific events or looking for the warmest weather, the summer months from November to March can be appealing. However, this is also the wet season, with higher humidity and more frequent rainfall, though usually in the form of afternoon thunderstorms.
