The furnishings and decorations are wonderful and eccentric, and the property has a rich history, very tastefully preserved. "This vacation home gets an A from our group! The location was wondeful for a long weekend of hiking in the Berkshires. We were an intergenerational group and it was great for the grandparents to be on the first floor and adolescents in the loft, and smaller kids and parents in the roomy and comfortable bedrooms.It was a dream to have plenty of bathrooms!The kitchen is really well set up for a large group (usually a source of lots of irritation!).It was great to have a dining tablr that fit everyone.The magestic fireplace really was a showstopper. We had a beautiful fire going during most of our visit. We enjoyed the sauna, and a jump in the chilly pool when we were nice & hot.It was perfect for family - luxurious and elegant without being overly precious. "
