"Needs updating. Mold in bathroom shower. Homeless in messed pants in lobby using facilities. Same person in morning helping themself to breakfast. Have stayed here two other times in past 5 years. Has completely gone downhill. Scary downhill for being in the heart of Mount Pleasant. "

"We had no idea just how wonderful this area and hotel could be! The beauty of the waterway, the wonder of the dolphins and the peaceful quality of the hotel, we loved every minute we were there. The walkways around the water, the dolphins swimming - it was all wonderful. The Shem Creek staff were all friendly and helpful and made our stay great. I found Shem Creek from reading novels about the area and am so happy we decided to visit!"

"The room was great, and the staff were kind and very helpful! They allowed us to check in very early as our room was ready. My only complaint would be that our room did not have blackout shades on 2 of the windows, so it was quite bright in the morning. Other then that- fantastic stay!"
