"This is a very large newer home with lots of space for a large group of travelers. Although the home itself is beautiful, it could use some TLC inside and out. There were broken chairs on the ground and 2 baby gates blocking the outside stairs. Not a welcoming appearance for guests! Upon check-in, we could not find any towels, at which time I called our host. He informed me that towels were not included! That would’ve been nice to know before booking. He directed us to a nearby Dollar General to purchase towels, where we had to spend over 100 to buy towels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, coffee, etc. So bring your own supplies, as these are not included, or in short supply. The nearest Walmart is 45 minutes away. The next day I found 2 hampers of dirty bed linens and a few towels too, which I washed in the large newer washer and dryer. For a home in this price range that sleeps 14, we expected better amenities. On the plus side, the appliances are new and work well. The second refrigerator in the butler’s pantry is wonderful for entertaining a large group. The view of the lake from the balconies is spectacular, but marred by the broken vertical blinds on the doors. Many are unfortunately missing slats. Overall, this home suited our needs, but could definitely be improved upon with some attention to maintenance, amenities and better host communication!"
