My husband and I greatly enjoyed our get away. Studio was lovely, clean, and comfortable. Was stocked with everything we needed. So relaxing, we hope to stay there regularly.
Our place was exactly as advertise. Right across the street from the waterfront. With great access to restaurants and shopping. Minutes from the Rock and beach.
The studio is well equipped and adequate for two. Its situation is ideal for shops and restaurant and have private parking and a charging station was ideal. The only negative was when the upstairs rental was occupied it was rather noisy.
We enjoyed our stay! The location was my favorite! We were able to get up and walk straight along the Morro bay pier. As soon as you step out you hear the sound of the wildlife outside! The sea lions are across the street! You don’t hear any street noise when inside the place.
My husband loved the waterfall shower. The bed was comfy. Everything needed was inside the house and the layout is great.
Definitely going to stay again!
We stayed in the bottom unit of the Harbor Retreat. It was perfect for my husband and myself. The place looked exactly like in the pictures. What you can't see in the pictures is that you walk out the front door and immediately are footsteps from the Bay. We did a lot of walking to eat and to Morro Bay Rock. I would definitely return with the whole family next time. There is an upstairs unit that is owned by the same owners. You won't regret staying here.
Perfect stay. They have everything you need. Everything was clean and they have thought of everything you might want. The diffuser by the door smelled great I want to get one for my home. I would like to stay for a week next time.
My only recommendation would be to place a hook near the shower for easy access to a towel. Also a nice painting above the toilet. (I’d be happy to paint you something for the spot)
Location good, Bed comfortable, Like the head board, we had quietness enough to hear the sea lions, the people above us were very conscience of their noise level - other than walking loudly overhead. But, the couch is hinky. Didn't like the three parts of it, could use 2 more rows of tiles at the front door-as well as a gutter, a shoe rack wouldn't go amiss and the toilet is lose on its base. You might also consider switching the roll away with the closet area. It was hard to hang items easily.
You can’t beat the location of this little studio in Morro. It was perfect for us and our pup while we visited our son at Cal Poly. We walked to all shopping and dining, and did a long walk to Morro Rock. The unit is nicely updated with a full kitchen. I agree with another reviewer that the couch is pretty bad. Low and lumpy. And the side table by the bed is completely falling apart. But the bed is super comfy, and overall the unit was great. We’d definitely stay again!
This studio is super cute. It was very clean. The only downside is that you can literally hear EVERYTHING from the unit above you. All the footfalls, the chairs being pulled back from the table, the voices of those on the second floor. I feel like more could be done to soundproof the second floor unit. It’s fine during the day, but at night, it’s troublesome if the other group above you stays up later than you, which was the case with us. We heard stomping and walking, furniture moving, sounds like a rollaway bed being rolled across the floor and people conversing until 1 in the morning some nights.
This is a great location, close to everything on the Embarcadero and mostly quiet. The kitchen was fully appointed with everything needed for cooking. The shower is large and the water really hot. Love the rain style shower head. I would recommend a shower curtain to keep the bathroom floor from getting soaked during the shower. The towels were clean and soft.
I recommend this location if you are able to sleep through the noise from the upstairs. Unfortunately. I am a light sleeper and earplugs don’t help. Otherwise, great place.
This studio had everything we needed and the very best thing was it was right on the Embarcadero so we could walk to many places. The shower was nice and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We will stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Morro Bay.
Amazing stay! Will stay here again. Very comfortable bed and the shower was heavenly. We used our Netflix account and easily walked around town. Very very clean as well. Nice parking spot provided. Only thing to note is this is a ground door unit with another rental upstairs so may hear other vacationers walking around depending on how active they are.
We enjoyed our stay. Not only was the apartment within walking distance of everything, we truly appreciated the charging station available for our car.
In the heart of Morro Bay, walking distance to everything. Very comfortable, well appointed apartment, newly refurbed. Loved exploring all the local beaches and trails (where permitted) with our dog. Loved the boardwalk connecting all the shops and eateries; the sea lions, seals, and otters in the bay; the magnificent Rock. We'll be back!
Super clean and well appointed property. These owners have thought of everything. Walkable to all the sights, restaurants in charming Morro Bay. Such a nice trip.
I really enjoyed my stay here. Residence was cozy and aesthetically pleasing. Comfy bed and nice amenities. Reserved off street parking is another plus. Located on the Embarcadero. Everything is centrally located and walkable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommended.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Bed was broken and light over bathroom sink/vanity non operational. Called responsible party and they said they have had problems with the bed before but did not offer to come out and fix it. A little hard to put on make up and brush teeth in the dark. Hopefully the problems will be fixed before renting out again.
This place was fantastic and was perfect for my husband, me, and our pup for a lovely long weekend. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and an ideal location for easy walking to restaurants and shops along the waterfront. The only suggestions I have is to add a rack of some sort for hanging clothes and adding legs to the couch (it was far too low for these older folks to get down to). We hope to come back again someday!
