Very nice hotel, centrally located. A bit worried about travel back to the airport, but the nearby tramline and then 620 bus workes smothly. Friendly staff. Very happy with the room ,nice outdors breakfast area.

Perfect location and quiet

One of the best location to stay in. Area is beautiful, rooms are big and quiet. Would definitely recommand to stay and enjoy visiting the city.

We stayed at this hotel due to its great city center location. However, this hotel is dated and the overall condition of the hotel is not that great. We liked the nearby underground parking garage location and plenty of restaurants and shopping options.

The staff was outstanding! All staff memebers were very friendly and kind. The only two things I didn't like about the hotel was (1) There were no slippers of even a complimentary bottle of still water in the room, and (2) the carpet in the hallway and stairway looked like it hadn't been shampoo-cleaned in years. Other than that, my visit was nice thanks to the friendly staff.

Third visit!

Our third stay at this hotel. We love it for the location within easy reach of the centre of Montpellier. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Can't comment on the food as we always eat out (plenty of choice). Only negative would be the carpet on the stairs and hallways is looking a bit tired and dirty, but the rooms are always comfortable and clean.

We loved our stay at Hotel Le Guilhem. Such a gem, quaint rooms, fabulous location, lovely view and delightful staff. Ours was a last minute booking and we were so happy. Taking the tram from the train station was almost door to door. Lucas at the front desk was charming and extremely helpful. Our room had everything we needed, water, lovely soap, fluffy towels, etc. there was a lift for our heavy suitcases too! Everything is walkable from the hotel. We only wish we had stayed longer.

Just great

We arrived tired from Avignon. Only staying in Montpellier to catch an early next day flight following a cancelled TGV out of Avignon. The moment we arrived our mood lifted. The receptionist ( sorry missed your name) was super kind and helpful. Her kindness lifted out mood That plus a delightful hotel room in a fabulous location made our stay memorable We even took up the recommendation to eat in the nearby Balthazar restaurant and enjoyed a super dinner. Thank you

It is a characterful hotel, very traditional in its decor. Great location and my room overlooked the jardin restaurant and across to the cathedral- that was lovely. The cathedral bells will ring , if you are bothered by this then maybe it isn’t for you - I thought it was a great feature which added something. The staff are excellent and helpful and it is located very well for the old town. It could do with the carpets replacing in the common areas ( stairs ) as it was probably not the best choice and shows the wear and tear . All in all it was well worth the money

The hotel is very well located, in the heart of the city, and is very convenient to walk around. The staff was also very nice and attentive, especially the lady who checked us in. Having said that, the hotel has clearly seen better days. It is a bit worn out, the carpets are very old and not in good shape, which is a problem if you are allergic. Overall, the hotel was clean, and the cleaning lady was very very nice, but those carpets need a replacement. What I liked: - It's location. It's very walkable. - The view from the room was very nice. - It had a parking nearby, and they give you a very good discount in it. - The staff. What I disliked: - The general state of the hotel: the carpets are terrible and the bed a bit torn out (although I should point out it was clean). - The room was as clean as it could be for the conditions it was on. I say this because I do not wish for the cleaning staff to be blamed for my review, as it was clearly beyond their capacity to fix things. - Breakfast was terrible. Honestly, they shouldn't even offer it, and it was not worth the €12 it costs. On our second day we decided to skip it altogether and go somewhere else (in all fairness the hotel staff didn't charge us for that day, they were super nice about it) Bottom line: If you want a convenient place, this is a good hotel. But if you are a bit allergic, stay away until they change the carpets.

We really liked the Best Western Hotel Le Guilhem. Sophie at the front desk is AMAZING! She was so helpful and speaks English really well. She helped us with navigating an issue that we could not figure out ourselves since we don’t understand or speak French. We were so grateful for her kindness! As for the hotel itself, it is an older hotel and looks a little tired but we liked the old quirkiness of it. We stayed in what they called the “chamber room”. It was in the basement and looked like an old cellar. It had a garden terrace that was only accessible from this one room. The terrace garden was overgrown but it was charming. We thought it was a fun room to stay in. We will need to go back to Montpillier next spring and we will probably book the same room again.
