Family holiday

The house and grounds are well cared for with historical beauty and character, a place to remember with delight for a special family gathering of eighteen people of all ages. Swimming pool was excellent and tennis court perfect for family tennis. There were many interesting places to visit near by. Highly recommended.

Montjoie. Hateaux

Pyrenees foothills provide easy access to dramatic scenery, great cycling and walking country. The pool is very nice and the tennis court usable. The château is large. It is a little dated but good space. Not luxury but good fun for a large group

un lieu idéal

Nous avons séjournés une semaine dans cette magnifique demeure située sur un vaste parc. Un groupe de familles (6 au total) avec pleins d'enfants et un espace disponible plus que génial, les chambres sont immenses, la literie très bonne, les salle de bain parfaite, bref, rien à dire, que du bon. la demeure dispose dispose d'une cuisine professionnelle, très bien équipée. La piscine est au sel, pas d'yeux qui piquent, et il y même un cours de tennis que Thibault n'annonce plus suite au retours négatifs de clients qui se sont plein de son état. Certes, ce n'est pas rolland garros mais quand même, je peux vous garantir qu'il est plus que praticable! Enfin, toutes les commodités sont à proximité sans parler des nombreuses activités et découvertes. Bref, au top! Merci à Thibault et à une prochaine! Guillaume et les copains

Topwoning!

Wij hebben deze chateau gehuurd met 18 vrienden begin juli 2018. We sliepen per twee op een kamer, allemaal met eigen badkamer. Voor het overige heeft de woning ook leuke faciliteiten, zoals een groot en mooi zwembad met voldoende ligstoelen, grote tuintafel, tennisplein, pingpong. Ook de keuken (semi-industrieel) is goed uitgerust. De woning is gelegen aan de rand van de Pyreneeën, waardoor de natuur om en rond het kasteel prachtig is. Op zich wel geen streek waar veel te beleven is, maar als je met een grote groep op reis bent, is dit minder essentieel. Een absolute aanrader om deze woning te huren.

I tried to cancel two months before

When my sister was dying of ovarian cancer, I cancelled this booking back in April, two months before the booking. I was hoping to get a refund on my deposit. However, even though it appears that you are alerting the owner/manager of the property, nothing gets through to them. I contacted HomeAway to let them know but they obviously didn't alert the poor owner because I am still getting notices asking if I enjoyed my holiday. So I have lost over 900 Euros and the poor man who owns the property missed out on getting the remainder of the rent for the period I would have been staying. My advice.......do NOT book with HomeAway as there is no way that you can actually have any dialogue with the owner as you do with other booking sites. I certainly will NEVER book with HomeAway again ever. I apologise profusely to the owner if he ever gets to read this. I would loved to have come to your property as it looks truly beautiful but sadly it was not to be. Kind regards Loz Copley

Magnifique

Tout était parfait. L'accueil, le château, les alentours, la région. Seul bémol le temps qui hélas ne nous a pas permis de profiter pleinement de la piscine (grande et magnifique) et du terrain de tennis(en parfait état). Le spa a été apprécié par tous. Les pièces sont magnifiques et le propriétaire charmant. Il nous offre son château et l'on se sent invités dans la demeure familiale en toute confiance, comme des amis. L'ensemble est vaste, spacieux et la voie verte juste derrière a permis aux sportifs de s'en donner à coeur joie. Merci au propriétaire et à très bientôt puisque nous y retournons avec joie l'été prochain.... Me ETCHEMENDY

Vacances insolites et magiques

Nous avons été en juillet 2011 dans ce château (la date ci-dessus n'est pas juste). Vacances merveilleuses : le lieu est tellement improbable qu'il en devient inoubliable. Nous étions en famille sur deux générations et les enfants ont pu inviter des amis sans que cela encombre tellement qu'il y a de chambres (avec de grands lits), de salle de bain et d'espace de vie. Nous étions à 18 sans jamais se marcher dessus! La grande table de la salle à manger est magique avec sa cheminée où vous pouvez vous tenir debout dedans tellement qu'elle est énorme, mais magique aussi par le fait de cette grande table où toute la famille peut se réunir sans être entassé, c'est rare et incroyable. Le même plaisir se reproduit à l’extérieur car il y a aussi une énorme table pour plus de 25 personnes, où la cheminée est remplacée par un romantique cours d'eau qui vient lécher les berges du château. On ne peut non plus laisser un avis en évinçant la sympathie du propriétaire et de la charmante dame de l'intendance qui se fait très discrète et très bienveillante. Ils sont si agréables qu'il faut insister sur ce fait aussi. Ce lieu nous manque vraiment, si l'occasion de retourner dans cette région se présente, c'est assurément là-bas que nous voudrions retourner. Et si vous doutiez un instant de l'authenticité de ce témoignage, vous pouvez nous écrire et je prendrai le temps de vous répondre et de vous donner toutes mes coordonnées en Belgique pour que vous puissiez vérifiez que nous n'avons aucun lien avec le propriétaire si ce n'est celui d'avoir partager les plaisirs de cet endroit incroyable.
