Lamentable.

Ne vous laissez surtout pas influencer par les photos. Très mauvais rapport qualité prix. Une chambre sale,odeur renfermée très désagréable douche minuscule, literie médiocre. Et j'en passe...Très grande déception! Notre pire nuit de notre séjour en Toscane! Nous avons payé des nuitées 60€ pt dej compris d'une qualité bien supérieure!

Tuscany Peaceful Retreat

Lovely resort in the quiet countryside. It is a long winding drive through many small villages to reach the resort. Likely best to do the drive in day light! The hotel is a bit older but has a lot of character. The staff is very accommodating. The food was tasty and served in a quaint dining room with a spectacular view of the mountains. We had a nice ride on the horses through the forest area of Tuscany. A great place to kick back and relax for a few days.

'Berghotel' abseits der Touristenpfade

Das Hotel haben wir aufgrund der Kombination Bike & Horseride in der Toscana ausgesucht: beides hat hervorragend geklappt! Der Reitstall liegt ca. 400m vom Hotel entfernt und bietet interessante Ausritte (halb- und ganztägig) an, welche unseren Töchtern sehr gefallen haben; -auch die Führung und Betreuung (Sicherheit) werden ernstgenommen und umgesetzt. Fürs Biken eignet sich dieser hügelige und eher wilde Teil der Toscana durchaus. Mit den Karten allein sind die Trails kaum zu finden, ein GPS hatten wir nicht dabei. Dafür haben wir viele Tiere gesehen, Hasen, Dachs, Schildkröte und auch eine kleine Schlange. Unbedingt sehenswert ist die Klosteranlage San Galgano. Das Hotel selbst bietet eine familiäre Atmosphäre und ein ausgezeichnetes toscanisches Essen.

Atemberaubend schöner Blick

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön mit einem atemberaubenden, weiten Blick über das Tal. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich möbliert, der Stil ist rustikal, aber gepflegt (z. B. Kaminfeuer). Das Essen ist hervorragend, besonders die 3 Gänge am Abend! Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und wirklich bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Falls man kein Italienisch spricht, kommt man mit Englisch gut klar. Es ist ein sehr geeigneter Standort für Ausflüge mit Pferden, Mountainbikes oder mit dem Motorrad. Siena, Volterra oder die Küste sind in ca. 1 Stunde Autofahrt zu erreichen.

Albergo di montagna a circa 40 km dal mare!

Hotel pulito, nella tranquillità dei boschi di castagni a Montieri, nelle Colline Metallifere del Grossetano. Servizio discreto ed efficiente. Ideale per amanti di trecking, gite a cavallo e semplice e riposante villeggiatura. Ideale per famiglie (fornito di piscina) e persone anziane. Il personale è discreto e premuroso. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Skøn lille perle!

Vi havde et skønt ophold på Rifugio Prategiano, og ville absolut anbefale det til andre som ønsker en tur til Toscana. Hotellets placering giver mulighed for både at opleve naturliv og byliv. Hotellet ligger tæt ved en hyggelig lille by (Montieri) hvor der er indkøbsmuligheder og to restauranter. Desuden ligger det i fin køreafstand til byer som Siena og Volterra, og til stranden hvis dette ønskes. Personalet var velkommende og stemningen var utrolig rar. Vi boede med den skønneste udsigt. De tilbød wi-fi, forbindelse var ikke så stabil men ok til at ordne basale ting. Alt i alt et skønt sted!

Nettes Hotel - ruhige Lage

Abseits der üblichen Reiserouten. Nettes Hotel für Individualisten, die keinen Luxus aber das etwas "andere" Hotel suchen. Gelungene Mischung aus Alt und Neu. Ausgesprochen nettes Personal, engagierter Juniorchef. Bodenständige gute Küche.

Needs cleaning and updating

Beautiful area, pool looked inviting but was too cold to swim. Rooms musty, bathrooms moldy, needs major updating. Go early for breakfast or you will not be eating.

das Hotel an sich ist hübsch, aber kein 3 Sterne Standard. Für anspruchslose Reiter empfehlenswert. Sehr störend war die Heißwasserbereitung: zentral durch einen Holzofen und der Rauch strömte oft in unsere Richtung, so dass das Fenster nicht geöffnet werden konnte. Bei 35 Grad ohne Klimaanlage sehr störend! Das Abendessen war okay, aber im Ort besser. Die Aussicht und Umgebung sind sehr schön, bis zum Meer sind es ca. 45 Kilometer. Wir werden wieder in die Toskana fahren, aber in ein anderes Hotel.

Bell´albergo

Belli gli esterni, il giardino, la terrazza con piscina, una fantastica vista. La camera corresponde allo standard 3 stelle, silenziosa e confortevole. Buon ristorante con menu a scelta e a la carte. Atmosfera informale e personale molto simpatico. Molto bella e divertente l´escursione pic-nic (organizzata dal albergo) insieme con i cavalieri e ciclisti.

beautiful setting in undiscovered part of Tuscany

nice small hotel, good restaurant with local specialities, hot tube free of charge, kind & very helpful staff, small village in walking distance, fantastic view; good possibilities for trekking, beautiful countryside, lots of chestnut trees, one of the few well heated hotel during our tour in october; romantic fire place in the lobby; ideal for travellers who want to be far from the crowds

Ander inzicht

Afgaande op de recenties van tripadvisor dit hotel aangedaan tijdens onze rondreis in Noord-Italie. Ook op de foto's ziet het er prachtig uit, echter bij aankomst geeft het toch een ander beeld. Ja, de omgeving is prachtig, alhoewel erg afgelegen, maar dat is een kwestie van voorkeur. De algehele staat is echter achterstallig. Stoffig en gedateerd, ondanks dat de foto's, die waarschijnlijk ten tijde van de opdening zijn gemaakt, anders doen vermoeden. Dan heb ik het o.a. over de douche met schimmelplekken, de douchekop, die vanwege de kalk alle kanten op spuit, behalve waar je het wilt hebben, de ingesleten vloerbedekking, niet werkende afstandbediening en de "gaarkeuken" (helaas heb ik er geen ander woord voor), waar je 'smiddags al je menu voor moet opgeven (keuze uit 2 gerechten). Ik ben nog van de generatie, die in dienst is geweest en geloof me dat was echt niet veel slechter. We hebben daar natuurlijk melding van gemaakt, waarop werd verteld dat "we hier zo koken"...nou, onze eet ervaring in Italie is een stuk beter. We zijn echt geen 4 sterren hotels gewend, maar dit geven we niet meer dan 1 ster wat ons betreft. Ik hoop hiermee enige nuance aan te brengen waarop andere reizigers een juiste afweging kunnen maken.

Herrliche Landschaft, gutes Essen und nette Atmoshäre

Schon beim Einchecken waren wir positiv überrascht. Die freundliche Rezeptionistin ließ uns die Wahl zwischen einem großen Zimmer im Gebäude nahe dem Pool oder einem kleinen Zimmer im Hauptgebäude. Wir entschieden uns aufgrund der fantastischen Aussicht für das kleine Zimmer. Nicht gerade luxuriös, aber sauber, praktisch und sogar mit Wasserkocher und einer Mappe mit ausführlichen Tourenbeschreibungen für Biker, Reiter und Wanderer. Die Landschaft ist so verlockend, dass sogar wir Nichtsportler die Wanderung rund um den "Poggio di Montieri" machten. Das Abendessen im hoteleigenem Restaurant (nette Atmosphäre) war gut. Wir bekamen sogar einen Nachschlag vom ausgezeichnetem ersten Gang "parpadelle mit Hasenragou". Der große Pool hatte noch nicht Badetemperaturen, aber die Massage im Jacuzzi bei Abendstimmung war sehr romantisch. Das Hotel liegt zwar in einer touristisch unbekannten Region, aber die Gehnähe zum Dorf ist praktisch und Siena und die Küste sind nur 40 km entfernt. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder einmal.
