Peace and tranquility

Property was comfortable and situated in beautiful peaceful countryside . Roads to drive in were narrow or single track and no shops close by. Horses, cats and chickens were great company. Property was described as luxury, but although clean and comfortable it was not in the five star class. Beds descrlbed as king were ordinary doubles, there was no stereo as described and overall impression was a little tired..The owner is not the host. A company called Belvilla handles the bookings causing issues with commu ication between the two parties. Overall our stay was enjoyable, but not everthing was as described.

Host friendly and helpful although she was away for the majority of our stay, so her daughter dealt with our enquiries. Both tried to be accommodating. Don't expect too much from this property, it isn't luxury. A lot more warmth could of been poured into this very rustic accommodation. The beds are very comfy but lack any comfort where bedding is concerned. Shower was warm and powerful, towels we paid for were old, scratchy and worn. I have owned a house in France for twenty years until I couldn't cope or afford the up keep. I understand the lovely way the french decorate and properties are more rustic than in England. However we were disappointed with the property. The area we are used to and is absolutely stunning, the restaurants, little villages etc are picturesque and the way of life is slower. The property is set in beautiful countryside and the pool was a welcome bonus. We didn't have the weather for it so wasn't used, but a dip when it's super hot would be lovely. Other reviews show the house is suitable for some so don't write it off. Just wanted this to be our personal take on the property as we found it. We do however wish the host all the best.

Wir sind gerade von unserem Urlaub in Frankreich zurückgekommen und müssen sagen, dass wir uns absolut in dieses Anwesen verliebt haben. Die Lage ist ländlich und sehr friedlich. Die Terrasse hat den ganzen Tag Sonne und ist ideal, um abends den Sonnenuntergang zu beobachten. Alles, was wir brauchten, war vorhanden und die Eigentümer waren sehr nett. Sie sprechen nur ein wenig Englisch, aber mit unserem sehr einfachen Französisch konnten wir uns verständigen. Es stimmt, dass es in der Nähe keine Geschäfte gibt und man auf jeden Fall ein Auto braucht, aber wenn man vorbereitet ist, ist das kein Problem. Mein Vater und mein Mann haben in Monpazier eine wunderbare Bäckerei gefunden und Supermärkte gibt es etwa 15 Autominuten entfernt. Die Betten waren wirklich bequem, es gab viel Platz und die einzige Enttäuschung war, dass wir gehen und wieder zur Arbeit gehen mussten. Würden wir wieder hier übernachten? Auf jeden Fall!! Wenn unser örtlicher Flughafen im April nach Bergerac fliegen würde, würden wir buchen.

Wat een mooie uitvalsbasis voor een rustgevende vakantie. Heel warme ontvangst door de eigenaren die in het naastliggend huis wonen. Het zwembad biedt een schitterende verkoeling bij het warme weer. Het is hier heel rustig, geen verkeer of andere drukte. Rondom rond zijn er veel toeristische activiteiten: steden oude dorpen veel marktjes, grotten kastelen wandelingen, .... teveel om te doen. Dit nodigt uit om terug te keren.

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad! Christelle en Alain zijn zeer hartelijk en doen enorm hun best om het je naar de zin te maken. We hebben veel gezien en gedaan in de sfeervolle Dordogne (stadjes, kastelen, grotten, markten, wandelingen) maar ook heerlijk uitgerust en genoten van de rust. Het was gezien de hitte in tweede week van ons verblijf heerlijk om af te kunnen koelen in het zwembad. Onze dochter maakte 2 fantastische buitenritten op paarden van de manege. We gaan graag nog eens terug!

1voyage en Dordogne, la location est parfaite si vous recherchez comme nous du calme et de la nature, propriétaire très gentil et très discret malgré la proximité de leur habitation , très bonne accueil, la piscine n était pas encore en service mais on nous as proposé de la mettre en service dès notre arrivée, si un jour nous retournerons dans cette belle région avec beaucoup de choses à faire et à voir, nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation dans cette location.

Maison calme et bien entretenue.Les propriétaires sont très sympas et avenants.Bien situé pour visiter certains châteaux, gouffre et grottes tout en restant à la campagne. Balade à cheval à tarif réduit avec la propriétaire qui aime vraiment ses chevaux. On y retournera🙂

Comme à la maison

Nous sommes restés quelques semaines dans cet endroit et à vrai dire, on aurait envie de cacher notre bonheur pour garder le lieu secret ! Mais bon, il faut partager... Les propriétaires sont très chaleureux, très à l'écoute et disponibles quand on a besoin. La maison correspondait exactement à ce que nous cherchions, de plain pied, bien équipée, spacieuse, avec cette petite touche personnelle qui fait qu'on se sent à la maison. Merci beaucoup. Nous reviendrons !

Leuk en ruim huisje met alle nodige faciliteiten. Ligging is ook top om de regio te ontdekken. De kinderen waren natuurlijk dol enthousiast over alle dieren en de kans om paard te rijden. Enige werkpunt zijn de matrassen van sommige bedden (heel hard). We komen met plezier terug!
