"I recently stayed at the Viva Wyndham all-inclusive hotel and had a mixed but overall decent experience. Starting with the positives, the room was very clean and well-maintained throughout my stay, which made a great first impression. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well—definitely a big plus, especially in the warmer climate. The staff truly stood out; everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, which added a lot to the overall experience. The hotel also has two bars that were both enjoyable, offering a good atmosphere and solid drink options. However, there are several areas that need improvement. The food was probably the biggest disappointment. While there was variety, it lacked authenticity and flavor. Introducing more authentic and diverse food options would significantly enhance the dining experience. Another issue was the entertainment setup. The entertainment area is not enclosed, and the noise carries late into the night, making it difficult for guests to get proper rest. Enclosing this space or better managing sound levels would make a big difference. The beach is inconveniently located about a 3–5 minute walk from the hotel, which a little bit farther than expected, and the resort itself seems understaffed. Because of this, not all restaurants are open daily—typically one is closed, while the others are often fully booked, making it frustrating to plan for dinner. "Book elsewhere or you will face many trails and tribulations. I started reading the reviews after booking and I wasn’t able to cancel so I decided to be optimistic. But EVERYTHING I feared took place down to the bugs inside of my husband suitcase, leaking ceilings, my daughter vomiting all afternoon and night after she ate lunch, room transfer. It was truly an exhausting experience. "

"Room was excellent, view to the beach! Shower was spacious, and bed was comfortable. Overall, the staff was friendly, attentive and was a good experience. Restaurant food was good too. "

"Very friendly staff. Very kid friendly. Beachfront is INCREDIBLE! Kids loved playing in the waves and watching the kite boarders. The hotel’s friendly cats along the paths were also a hit with all the guests. Room was clean but showing signs of wear and tear. Minor things like the phone didn’t work for 5 days, curtains barely moving. Lots of great restaurants to try only 5-10 minute walk along the beach into Cabarete. "

OUT FRIDGE IN THE ROOM WAS EMPTY. I NEEDED TO COMPLAIN FOR 3 DAYS FOR ANGIE TO SEND SOME WATER AND BEER.SAME THINK WITH THE ROOM CLEANNING. I NEED TO ASK."
