Excellent location to visit Vimy Ridge

Excellent house with lots of room, wonderful gardens, ample parking and close to Vimy Ridge. The host was great and provided details of the area that were very helpful with many tourist materials and maps.

Excellent property and location

Visiting WW1 cemetery, memorials and museums. Beautiful, traditional property with parking in a great location. Yannick was friendly and helpful making our stay very pleasant.

Great stay

This is a lovely gîte: nicely furnished and with a well-equipped kitchen. We had some excellent croissants for breakfast each day from the boulangerie in nearby Acq. Very well situated for the WW1 and medieval sites. We would definitely stay again.

An overnight stop

This is wonderful gite which is owned by a very friendly gentleman. It's spacious warm and comfortable. We only stayed for one night on the way back home, but I will definitely stay here again to explore the area

Period structure, right at the edge of the WW1 western front, a charming place to stay (at a time of peace!).Vimy, Beaumont-Hamel were our stops, and all were accessible - by car - from this rural location.

Brilliant stay! From a lovely host to a absolutely lovely home. Perfect location for doing the Somme and surrounding areas and very easy driving distance from Lille (Eurostar). Absolutely recommended!

Beautiful True French lodging

This is a charming little cottage, very well situated for visiting historic sites and battlefields. Yannick is a gracious host. Check-in was very easy as was departure. The cottage is well equipped for light meals. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Fantastic home, kept very clean and tidy. I loved the location, not far from groceries and Arras and Vimy, but super quiet and dark in the evenings. The sleeping arrangements were fantastic for our group of 5 people, with multiple separate rooms. The yard with table and chairs outside was a really nice addition. Easy parking. Convenient kitchen for preparing meals at home. What's not to love? Also, the hosts were wonderful and attentive.

WOW!

We wish we had booked more than one night at this location. We were in the area visiting Vimy Ridge and had a fabulous stay Chez Fifine. The property is beautifully maintained, it's very clean and has everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the surroundings and also enjoyed making a lovely family meal in the well-equipped kitchen. We would highly recommend this property!

Lovely country retreat near Vimy

I stayed here with my 12 year old son and my older sister. It is located near lovely wheat fields and in the shadow of the Mt Saint Eloi Abbey, which o had never hear of but which is striking and history-filled. It was also unbelievably close to the Canadian Memorial at Vimy Ridge. It is spacious and comfortable and the hosts are lovely. A treasure!

A converted farmhouse near Mont St-Eloi

We enjoyed our stay at Chez Fifine immensely. There were six of us, two couples and two children. The gite was comfortable and well-equipped, and suited us very well. Yannick made us welcome, and gave us information about the local area. We enjoyed seeing some of the WWI sites, and we also took the TGV from Arras for a day in Paris. We had a nice meal at La Table des Tours in Mont St-Eloi. Many thanks, Yannick.

Wonderful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wish we had planned more than just two nights! We stayed here because of its proximity to the Vimy Ridge and Beaumont Hamel memorials, but discovered that this area is beautiful and full of history and character. Take your time here if you are able. Our host was fantastic, from booking right through our departure - very hospitable and easy to communicate with. The kitchen comes very well equipped, and the bakery in Acq was amazing. Chez Fifine comes as advertised, but the pictures really don’t do it justice … Thanks to our host for making our first nights in France so enjoyable!

Alles wat je nodig hebt was aanwezig, wij persoonlijk vonden de dubbele bedden te smal maar dat is voor iedereen anders natuurlijk, voorderest vriendelijke gastheer die ons goed geholpen heeft om taxi's te regelen voor een heel weekend
