A wonderful experience. The hotel is high up on a hill, the view is spectacular! Wonderful staff and great meals at the restaurant.

Fantastic hotel with incredible views. We stayed 3 nights and it was a great tranquil home base for San Sebastián and Bilbao. Highly recommend!

Remote, Gorgeous Views
We chose Hotel Ixua as a three night base for day trips to San Sebastián and Bilbao, both approx 45 minutes each way. Initially, Hotel Ixua can be a bit difficult to find but the view from the top makes the effort worthwhile. From the main road the drive is approx 2 miles up a very curvy mountain road. Take it slow and be careful. Put “Hotel Ixua” in google gps (not the physical address or you will end up in a very wrong place!) The hotel is relatively new, small and comfortable with clean and minimalistic, basic rooms (we had a superior room). No elevator. Free parking. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Thank you Roberto and Veronica. We had trouble with the WiFi continually dropping but Roberto was able to fix the issue. Breakfast was basic continental. The restaurant was decent with a local Basque menu and is open to the public. (Note the restaurant is closed on Wednesday for dinner) Eibar is an industrial town and really nothing to explore so you come here for the setting and the views. Distance-wise it’s a good base for SS and Bilbao however having to drive several times up and down the mountain road became tiresome. It was a bit in the off season while we were there so too cold to sit outside but would expect that in the summer and warmer weather months it would be relaxing to sit outside and appreciate the views.

En helt igennem fantastisk overnatning,
Et tilfælde bragte os til Ixua Hotela da vores oprindelige destination var udsolgt. Vi blev taget meget godt imod, og følte os virkelig velkomne. Bjergtaget af en smuk udsigt fra værelset som var nydelig pænt og rent kan vi så absolut anbefale både hotel og restaurant som er et lille familieejet sted.

Heerlijk hotel op prachtige plek!
Prachtig familiehotel, heerlijk grote schone kamer met goed bed en fijne douche. Ontbijt dik in orde; heerlijke croissants, goeie koffie en verse jus. Uitzicht is adembenemend mooi, heerlijk buiten op het terras drankje genuttigd. Voorts lekker gegeten in het restaurant. Bovenal; erg sympathieke eigenaren en personeel! Vergeet niet de tarta de queso van Estela te proeven, fantastisch!

Calme et service assurés
Super séjour. Hôtel situé dans un environnement très agréable, avec un magnifique panorama. Le lieu est très calme. La chambre est moderne, spacieuse et très confortable. Le restaurant situé sur place offre des plats classiques et très bons. Personnel disponible et très pro. J'y reviendrai c'est sûr.

Es un hotel pequeño pero con mucho encanto y muy acogedor. Tiene alguna cosita que mejorar, entre ellas la limpieza y algunos aspectos como la colcha que adorna el pie de la cama ya que tenía algún agujero y en las sábanas nos encontramos un par de pelos.. A pesar de ello recomendamos el hotel, nuestra estancia fue muy agradable y las vistas increíbles.

Idéal si l'on a du temps pour se poser.
Hôtel au calme. Un peu difficile à trouver, loin des grands axes et absence de signalétique. Nous avons perdu beaucoup de temps, le GPS ne reconnaissaît pas l'endroit. Pas le bon choix pour une nuit.

Отель в горах, виды очень красивые. Жал не было времени прогуляться по окрестностям. В стоимость входит простой, но разнообразный завтрак - хамон, сыр, свежевыжатый сок, мюсли, фрукты и т.п.
