"We had a wonderful week in La Romieu and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The location is beautiful: peaceful, full of character and surrounded by stunning countryside. La Romieu and nearby places such as Condom are well worth exploring.The property is fantastic for a large group. There were 28 of us and we made some brilliant memories here. The pool, outdoor space and setting make it a very special place.There are some areas for improvement. Our main concern was damaged tiles around the pool, which we discussed with the owner and were told would be repaired. Some sun loungers would also be a welcome addition. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but nothing that spoiled our holiday.Our main disappointment came after leaving. We received upsetting messages about cleaning and were initially told we had not paid the 280 cleaning fee. Our receipt confirmed we had, which the owner later acknowledged. We accept guests should leave a property respectfully and genuinely believed we had done so. With 28 people staying for a week, a few minor things may have been overlooked, but clearer departure instructions would have avoided much of the misunderstanding. To her credit, the owner acknowledged communication could have been clearer.Also check bedding and towel arrangements before travelling, as these cost extra.Overall, a beautiful property in a wonderful part of France. With improved communication and some maintenance, this would have been a 10/10 stay."

"Beautiful home. Very well presented with an eclectic mix of old & modern. Everything you need for a very comfortable stay, from all the cutlery and kitchen utensils, giant towels, spotless bed sheets, bug screens! And a salt swimming pool which was so much more pleasant than chlorine. This propety ticked all our boxes and then some. Four big double bedrooms upstairs and another bed in the downstairs parlour. Two full bathrooms upstairs, (one shower & one bath) and a really usefull downstairs toilet. Full kitchen laundering facilities including supplies which was really appreciated. Outside was just as well appointed, with plenty of comfortable relaxing and dinning spaces. Our host Jean was delightful and left us some home made jam and local wine; she was very accomodating when we changed our numbers and IF we had a problem, I'm sure she would of been avaliable. Can't recommend this propety enough and I haven't described the beautiful rural location yet!!"
