We absolutely loved our stay here. The hosts were amazing and really give you free rein to enjoy the beautiful grounds—the location is unbelievable, yet it’s only about a 15-minute walk into the center of Bayeux. We spent our time relaxing, wandering the property, petting the horses, and enjoying wine and beer outside. The only minor downside was that the shower was a little difficult to use, but we’re adults and managed just fine. Other than that, it was an amazing place to relax and enjoy Normandy, and we would absolutely stay again.

A very nice and private place to stay within easy walking distance of Bayeux. Christophe was a friendly host. Having parking behind a gate was great to not have to worry about leaving my car in any tight garages or tourist areas. The unit itself is charming and comfortable, and perfect for a solo traveler or couple looking for a place to stay with a functional kitchen and washing machine. Would use this again!

This property is a wonderfully unique place to stay. The accommodation is in the original kitchen of the estate. It is two stories with the bedroom and very large bathroom on the second floor. Downstairs is a sitting area, table and chairs in front of the original oven and a tiny kitchen. It is a perfect place for one or two people to stay, especially if you love old homes. Do note, it is not appropriate for anyone with difficulty walking or climbing stairs. Christophe and his wife are very gracious hosts, who greeted us when we arrived.The property is in a walled estate with a coded entrance. Needless to stay, is is lovely and quiet. The town of Bayeux is about a 15 minute walk along a river and through a lovely preserve. I believe there is a shorter route, but we enjoyed the countryside so much, we ever went the other way. Bayeux is a wonderful town with great shops and restaurants, and of course lots of history. We would highly recommend staying here!

Enjoyed our stay in the small restored former bakery of this historic manor farm (chateau). Everything was as advertised and we had the best nights sleep in the most comfortable bed.The host Christophe,whilst not intrusive, was very helpful,allowed us to store our rental bikes in another part of the building and recommended the pleasant riverside walk into the centre of Bayeaux.Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Manoir Ferme de Cremel

A lovely space to stay and visit the beaches and Bayeux! Be sure to walk the path along the river and catch the evening show at the cathedral in the summertime. Perfectly located, unique property and with a great host!

A stay in Bayeux

Very nice apartment in a beautiful setting. There’s a large courtyard and gardens on the property. Our room was comfortable and well equipped, our host was very gracious and helpful. The property was secure and a 5 to 6 minute drive to Bayeux. Very enjoyable stay!

Perfect headquarters for Normandy

Bayeux is a great town and the perfect spot to explore Normandy. D-day beaches are easily accessible The property is small but comfortable. Sleeping and bathing are upstairs and the kitchen is small but we did not find it to be a problem The host, Christophe is very accommodating and helpful when needed

Fabulous!

Lovely property! The bakery is unique lodging and was in an excellent location to explore Normandy. The walk into Bayeux was a bit long but lovely along a river. We visited the DDay sites as well as Mont St Michel by car. The owner lives in a large house on the property and was very welcoming and informative, though with no one present on arrival it was easy to follow directions to access the property. This is absolutely a great location to stay if you are travelling in Normandy by car.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed here for four nights in September 2023. We travelled to Bayeux by train. This location is close to the Bayeux rail station. The site is very special. We will fondly remember the early evenings sitting outside our accommodation in the inner courtyard. The accommodation is excellent. The kitchen is compact but has a small fridge, two burners and a microwave. A good selection of kitchen wares is available to use. The bathroom (located on the upper level adjacent to the bedroom) is large. We made use of the drying rack above the tub after handwashing a few items. Christophe and Veronique are considerate and helpful hosts. Directions and access to the property and the accommodation's front door were accurate and easy to follow. Thanks for sharing your property (and your fruit), Christophe and Veronique!

Our stay in Monceaux-en-Bessin (May 2025)

My husband and I rented the former bakery on the estate, which has been comfortably modernized as a quaint apartment. The first floor is occupied by the living/dining area with a sofa, club chairs and a table with chairs; a small galley kitchen with sink, apartment-sized refrigerator, electric kettle, stove, and toaster. Kitchen cleaning materials are provided. A rustic sideboard houses a set of dishes and pots, and the drawers hold utensils and a variety of useful tools, (most essentially a corkscrew!) The bedroom and bath are accessed via a staircase. The bed is very comfortable; the room features beautiful, huge exposed beams. The bathroom is roomy, and has a tub with hand-held shower head , (but not a shower.) Parking is provided on the property if you have a car, and the gate requires an access code to enter from the road.Our 6-night stay was delightful! Christophe is a charming gentleman, and has brought la ferme manoir to a level of country living that is sophisticated and yet rustic. Two books display the history of the estate, and the fantastic tale of the renovation. There is a walking path to the city of Bayeux, but we're a bit older, and thus drove into town. We visited the Bayeux Tapestry Museum and the Cathedral, walked to cafes and restaurants. We drove to the museums and beaches of WWII, and visited the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise. We also spent a day in the walled city/monastery of Mont-Saint-Michel. The la ferme manoir is highly recommended! Enjoy.

Staying in a cottage on a Manor is definitely a unique experience. The accommodations were tranquil, in pleasantly nestled in a neighborhood within walking distance of the main hustle and bustle of Bayeux. We walked to town for breakfast and dinner each evening. Definitely a nice spot for a couple. Easy arrival and departure

An amazing place to stay
