"This place is a little piece of heaven on earth!! So quaint and comfortable!! The view is breathtaking and so serene!!! I recommend if you want to be at peace you plan to stay here!!!! "The pictures cannot possibly do this location justice. The views are relaxing and awe-inspiring all on their own, and the home is beautiful and so thoughtfully decorated and outfitted. The art and books are tempting and satisfying, but the views perfectly framed by the windows beckon you out of doors. The beds are a dream, the kitchen more well outfitted than even described. We were able to make cappuccinos with the stovetop maker available on our stay! There are lovely short morning hikes available from right the house, and the launch point is a short drive away and seamless if you're doing anything on the water. The quiet is amazing, and the porch a delight in the mornings. Enough space to do yoga, write at the patio table, and grill something all in the same hour. We cooked all of our own meals in the well appointed kitchen, but there are also lovely restaurants in the area. We drove 45 minutes to the hoodoos at Dar-al-Islam - well worth looking up. Ojo is an easy drive, as well. The hot tub is beautiful, with an unparalleled view. The sound of the runoff from rain cascading down the cliff face across the water was a meditation unto itself. Big outdoors, cozy well-appointed appointed indoors. We'll be back. This is one for the books."

I was sad to leave, but happy to discover the area. It’s easy to get around and there’s so much to explore."

"Just a couple of things... You might want to replace the folding wooden chairs outside, some are pretty warped. Also, one of the skillets in the kitchen has scratches where the non-stick surface is coming off. Otherwise, this was a wonderful place and hope to return again!"

"Casita de Arrebol is much more than a beautiful place to stay—it’s an experience in itself. The house smelled amazing from the moment we arrived, and every detail reflected exquisite taste, from the bedding, pillows and throws to the furnishings. The casita felt warm, peaceful and artistic, beautifully suited to the high-desert setting.The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with appliances, cookware, utensils and supplies, and the huge washer and dryer were especially appreciated during our longer stay.The gorgeous backyard was alive with birds (including three varieties of hummingbirds). I became so intrigued by our bird neighbors that I downloaded the Merlin app to identify them all.Pedernal is a commanding presence in the landscape, and the kitchen window offered a constantly changing portrait as the high-desert light moved across it. Walking the labyrinth was another deeply memorable part of our stay.This is also a creative space. The mini-Martin guitar and the setting sparked ideas for music, while the dark skies and adobe architecture made night-sky photography especially rewarding.The location is ideal for exploring Ghost Ranch, Abiquiú and Christ in the Desert Monastery while still feeling wonderfully secluded. Communication with the owners was excellent throughout—warm, attentive and responsive.Casita de Arrebol became one of the highlights of our trip to New Mexico: a place of beauty, reflection and inspiration."
