"I had a blue badge so parked at front of hotel , I would never have made it up the hill . Room needs a wee refresh paper peeling and bathroom ceiling damp patch . Staff amazing in every department. Laura on reception an asset to the hotel , very helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant staff very polite and friendly. Would definitely come back . Lounge so nice to sit and relax with coffee or bar drinks ."

"Windows don't fit properly, so draughty and hear outside road noise. Have stayed in 3 different rooms, same experience. Cheaper than other nearby hotels, but expect better. Note they charge extra £5 to park if u dont book direct, read the small print. Staff nice though."

"This is a really lovely hotel for an even lovelier price ! The staff are very friendly, the rooms spacious and spotless and we had an excellent breakfast that kept us going all day. We would normally have stayed at the Premier Inn in Dumfries every time we come over from NI to visit family but will definitely be staying in the Holiday Inn in Dumfries from now on. "
