Not sure about pets but the place is so comfortable and invite. Deck and fire table are perfect, love the chairs. So peaceful and a perfect get away. Host are super nice and go out of their way!!

The Birdhouse is great for a family or for a romantic couples getaway. Loved the sunset strolls down to the pond and around the property.

Beautiful and quiet retreat

Lovely property to get away from it all. Hosts provided any kitchen essentials you could need. Incredibly private. The deck was amazing for relaxing in the sun, with a beautiful view. The walking path was lovely. We are very happy with our visit! Make sure you bring drinking water if well water bothers you.

Perfect for our friends visit. Hosts were quick to respond and even came over when we had and issue with the heat and fixed it. House was clean and super comfy. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!!

Much needed Peace

This was our second visit to this properrty and we hope to return again. The beauty and solitude are just what we are looking for to get away from the busy city. The house itself is clean and modern but big on comfort. Nice to see some added features since the last visit like the dvd player and radio.

Very Nice

Very quiet and spacious.We have three childern and they were occupied without internet access exploring the surrounding woods and open spaces. The pond was also fun. It was a nice break from the city life.

Great place for a quiet getaway!

Excellent spot for some privacy and relaxing. Gorgeous prairie views and a lovely deck to watch the sunset from. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook some great meals there. We brought our own drinking water, the tap water does smell like sulfur.

Beautiful scenery, peaceful and quiet! This is a perfect getaway with access to the discovery wildlife park! We would definitely love to return for another weekend. Perfect for my dog

We really enjoyed our stay. It was 34 degrees and our dog very much enjoyed going swimming in there little pond. The house is very clean and has a beautiful view. We will be back for sure. Thank you!!

Great quiet place!

The family had a great time! The pond was a fun source of entertainment for the kids. We had great weather so spend a lot of time outside and on the deck that has a beautiful view. The check in process was easy and communication with the owner was reliable. The land is cared for and the paths to the pond were kept very neat and tidy. Thank you for the lovely weekend!

Weekend Getaway

This property was beautiful! We stayed here for a weekend getaway & had a relaxing time. Being tucked away in the trees and able to disconnect was nice. I wasnt expecting the bedrooms to be all connected which was a fun surprise for us! We decided we would come back again in a different season because we liked the vibe so much! Everything as far as toilet paper, paper towel, tin foil, dish soap, sponges etc was provided which was great. Everything was clean & host was responsive!

Great for a quiet, off line get awat

We enjoyed our stay in birdhouse. The house was clean and gorgeously situated. The closeness to nature let you relax and forget about busy life. The only thing was the lack of a hot tube mentioned in the description. There is a pond that you can use as swimming pool. The tap water is not potable.

Family get away

Enjoyed our time at this very private home in beautiful country. Unfortunately the pool/lake is really a pond, the kids enjoyed same and the use of the paddle boat. Be aware the water is muddy, weedy and leeches are present, but that didn't stop the kids and dog from swimming. If you are planning on using the two top bunk beds please note they don't have mattresses so blow up beds would be recommended

Peace and Tranquillity

Beautiful location and property. House was lovely and clean. We were scheduled to stay 4 nights but unfortunately left after 2 due to my dogs feeling unwell; likely because of the heat. There is no AC and when it’s 30 degrees, with south facing windows, there is no escaping the heat. The dogs loved the freedom to run (supervised) and loved the pond. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Peaceful and Private

We really enjoyed the peacefulness of this location. The views are lovely, watching the birds come and go on the lake. We enjoyed taking the dog for walks around the property, which is really pretty with the changing leaves. I think it should be mentioned in the description to definitely bring your own drinking water and a fly swatter. After the initial shower on day one, the hot water ran out after about 3 minutes. Overall, we got what we went for: a chance to unplug and enjoy each other's company.

Week getaway equaled total relaxation

We had an amazing time at the Birdhouse. We came prepared with board games and books as we knew about and wanted no wifi. The week we totally got to relax and enjoy family time. This place is very secluded so gives you the rest you so need. The path around the cabin is mowed and we walked it many times throughout the day. The deck is large and beautiful and has a great view of the lake. We didn’t use the small pond but we weren’t interested in that to begin with. We enjoyed the open concept of the cabin and the floor to ceiling windows. Definitely recommend if you want time away from people and the busy city living.
