"This hotel is a gem. Very comfortable rooms, good wifi, and hot showers. The host, Angel, is what makes this hotel special. He went above and beyond helping us and giving advice. He was our Angel. There is a big supermarket around the corner if you want to cook or many awesome restaurants on the adjacent road. I can’t recommend this place enough. "

These friezes once covered the entirety of these huge temples and must have been stunning. Amazing to think they have been buried under sand for centuries. There is a huge hole in the side where the Spanish took the treasures out from inside. Many people never explore much beyond Machu Pichu...Peru's history is so much richer than this.
