"Excellent property with amazing views. Very good breakfast and there is a bar, as well. They have a hot tub, but we did not use it. Rooms are very small, but manageable. Parking is easy. We love everything about this property, but it’s a good 15 minute drive to the town of Akureyri, where the restaurants and shops are."

"This is a decent place and the staff were doing the best with what they had and were very helpful when we asked for something. However, the room was very basic with little in the way of amenities - the room was quite cold when we got there and although there was a heater, it was rudimentary and difficult to control. There was only a curtain around the shower pan which made it difficult to use and a lot of water ends up in the floor! The bed was comfy though! This place is also well outside Egilsstador, even though our confirmation from Expedia showed it to be very close to town with lots of other attractions close - in fact this place is 30 mins outside of Egilsstador (several miles up a dirt road) and so the attractions shown are also that far away!! This is an error in the Expedia system which so far they have been very reluctant to acknowledge or fix. The hotel has also tried to alert Expedia but without success. In summary, a decent place but don’t trust Expedia’s description of where it is!!"

"Superb service. They went out of their way to help us out on couple of occasions. All other stays on our trip, no one else had a TV, this one had a TV, fridge, microwave in the room. Jonas, the manager walked around the breakfast area and was engaging with all the patrons. The room it self does need a makeover and the management knows that as Jonas himself confided they will be remodeling next year."

"Extremely clean and cozy! Loved our stay. Room is very small but that was expected. Bathroom and bedroom were clean and comfortable. The separate kitchen room has all the needed amenities, and we loved the sitting rooms through the hotel. Walkable to lots of restaurants. 10/10 stay."
