- Hotel in the center with friendly staff - small but nice and clean hotel rooms - little storage space for suitcases - very fine and fresh breakfast buffet - would stay here again

Fantastic Stay

We had an amazing time - the staff was friendly and very helpful. Parking was great and the accommodations were beautiful and functional. Our favorite stop of our ring road drive.

A bit cumbersome to get key from a restaurant and then go to property . Kids double bed was in a confined niche . Most restaurants are shut on Monday and Tuesday

Lovely hotel. Great staff there was a problem with our room and staff were amazing. Moved us to apartment at no extra cost and offered us free breakfast. Fabulous food at the hotel restaurant one of our best meals in Iceland. Very special town not to be missed.

Very friendly reception even though we arrived very late due to the earlier road closures due to the unforgiving Icelandic winter conditions.

Doors slam shut and you can hear every conversation if guests decide to talk in the hallway or foyer. Hard to sleep due to these reasons. Rooms are cute and clean and the location is great but if you are not a sound sleeper, probably not the best choice.

Nice hotel; very friendly/helpful staff, very clean, generously sized room, good food. Building was cold and couldn’t really get the room warm all night. Town is very small, very limited options outside of hotel.

Nice room in older building

The room was nice but be aware that the front door is on a self closer and can be very loud if other guests are not considerate late at night. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

This is a converted bank to guest rooms. Room was decorated with an “antique” style. Everything thing spotless, shower a bit small. No staff on premises. Checkin at local eatery quick and easy, but I felt the reception person was a bit condescending. Only had to see him once, so past that. Small fishing town , not much to do. Nice meal at El Grillo.

We had a beautifully decorated and lovely room and bath in the old Bank building. Heated floor in the bathroom, great shower, great bed! Room was spacious. Also enjoyed an excellent dinner! Amazing little spot in Iceland. What a treat!

Calm, clean and spacious

We realized we'll be late for physical check-in and were very worried but the nice worker at the desk calmed us down and instructed us on how to self check-in, which allowed us to continue the trip with more ease. The only thing we would recommend doing is adding sun-blocking curtains, since it woke us up at 5 am..

Hotel property is set among several buildings separate from check-in. Plenty of parking and easily and conveniently walkable to restaurants, grocery and shops. The rooms are amazing curated with cool furniture! Excellent place to stay!

We booked this property that was called a hotel. Had 10/10 ratings in reviews. It is not a hotel. We are in an outer building with thin walls. Can hear person stomping above us since 4:30 am. Nowhere to sit other than uncomfortably chair in dark room ( spouse sleeping). No amenities. No tv, furniture, towel rack, tp holder, kleenex. Just 4 walls, bnd adjacent bathroom and wardrobe. Would never have booked stay in this town but for glowing reviews on Expedia. Don't stay here!

Mir war bei der Buchung nicht klar, dass es kein wirkliches Hotel, sondern getrennte Häuser sind. Zum Check-in und Frühstück musste man in das eine Haus, im anderen waren die Zimmer. Keine Rezeption, keine Lobby, keine Tipps und Hilfen. Im sehr kleinen Zimmer kein Stuhl oder Sessel, kein TV. Für all das war der Preis völlig überzogen im Vergleich zu anderen deutlich besseren Hotels.

We enjoyed this hotel and the area. Self check in as this property is one of three and there’s a central office. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was not included but was available at the main hotel of this brand (one brand, 3 hotel houses). Breakfast was pretty expensive relative to other Iceland hotels. We would stay at this property again.
