"My spouse and I stayed at Julie’s quaint and cozy little cabin during Geodefest in nearby Keokuk. We also took an afternoon to explore Nauvoo. The location off the highway made for easy and short trips to both locations. The cabin was very clean and I was very surprised and impressed by the A/C’s ability to keep the whole place comfortably cool. While it is readily apparent that the cabin is over 100yo, the immense character adds to the charm. All the furniture is comfortable and appliances work perfectly. The garden is also beautiful and the swing in front of the cabin has the perfect view of the sunset over the river. My only word of caution for others would be that the floors are slanted, so if you suffer from vertigo or other balance issues like I do, it might take a bit getting used to. However, this did not make the cabin any less of a relaxing respite in our travels!"
