Hygge House: fireplace and garage

  • Welcome to Hygge House! Your family and pets are close to everything in Minneapolis when you stay at this historicTudor revival home.

    Close to highways 94, 100, 694, 394, and walking distance to a local coffee shop, yoga, chocolate shop, dog park and the Grand Rounds.

    Host warm gatherings with friends and family and benefit from your choice of two backyard grills, a fire pit (wood included), a patio, and a backyard. Indoors are a fireplace, games, high-speed WiFi.

    There are many kid items, such as a high chair, little booster chair, crib, bottle drying rack, and more!

    There are two TVs. The home includes a washer and dryer, which you can use.

    Please note that extra large vehicles may not fit in the garage, but should be able to fit on the driveway with careful maneuvering. There is also plenty of street parking.

My daughter and her fiancé stayed here the days prior to their wedding. It’s a great location, and fully stocked for families. The owners are quick to respond with any questions.

A cozy home and responsive property managers

The house has a lot of personal touches with decorations. The beds were fairly comfortable. It was pretty easy to access the house from the instructions.

Comfy stay

The house is very cool and full of character. The house is very spacious and well-stocked for cooking. Which is not always the case! We loved that there were fans available - this is rare and so helpful for sleepin away from home. Linens were plentiful and clean. You would be very hard pressed to sleep ten people in the space comfortably. We had 6 and one person slept in the couch pullout. The location is awesome - you can be downtown in minutes. Lots of free options for things to do with family. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. The garage is a nice bonus! We would stay again on our next trip to the cities!

Our favorite place

This is about the third or fourth time we've stayed at Erika and Bala's place - we make annual trips to visit friends in town - their place is always clean and welcoming. Very communicative and accommodating and very quick to address any issues that might arise. The location is extremely convenient to anywhere we need to go as well! We definitely plan to continue staying for as long as their place is listed given how often we come to town. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area

We had a great time at Hygge House! The owners were VERY responsive to our questions. Kitchen is well stocked and the charm of the house is delightful. Great neighborhood with a little chocolate shop a few blocks away! Very enjoyable!

Some concerns

It would have been helpful if there were dishwasher instructions. We could not figure out how to use it. The place was not that well maintained. There were no garbage bags in the kitchen receptacles. There was gum stuck on the dining room floor. It was very warm and humid in the house when we arrived as some windows were open even though the air conditioners were running.
