The Motor Lodge is one of my Go-To’s when I’m in the area. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy. Heater was a little noisy, but overall, a nice spot to crash on a road trip

Careless folks at reception, ants in the room, extremely loud, and weirdos going in and out of dominos at all hours of the night. Whatever you save you’ll pay for with discomfort.

The tub is so old that the porcelain is completely warm ohh in spots. The drain cover is off. The front door must be lifted berfore the dead bolt will close. The door is warped so badly that I could see the outside walk way when the door is closed. The bedding is lumpy. I found an earwig in my t-shirt after putting it in their dresser drawer. And there were ants on and around the sink.

Enjoyed Katie’s for meals very much. Pool too cold. But enjoyed hot tub view. Shower head barely ran and tub plug broke- cable kept glitching. Beds comfortable and linen nice. Some did not follow smoking rules at motor lodge. Butts on sidewalks and doorway entry. Odor was bothersome at times. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Spacious rooms, renovated, well maintained. However, I wish there were table and chair or two. This is the first motel we stayed in that did not have a chair. Otherwise, the stay was quite, warm inside.

Likes: clean, everything functioned properly, comfortable bed. Dislikes: the doors weren't so quiet so neighbors slamming their doors may wake you in the morning, especially with people leaving to hit the slopes or go to work early. It seems a lot of people stay at the motor lodge are contractors. Also, no hot water or tea available, just the coffee machine that uses pods. Check-in was goofy too - they need a sign that says to check in at the Carson Valley Inn.

Super bad experience
I had a bad experience, I booked about 2 months before and they gave me my room in the other building that is outside on the side, every time we have stayed in that hotel we have always had the room in the main hotel, it was very cold, raining and to go to the pool or the casino we had to leave the hotel and walk. My daughter doesn't enjoy the hotel at all. I told them and they told me that the hotel was full, but we saw that the people who arrived were given a room there. If I had known that they were going to give me the room in the other building, I would have better canceled.

Comfortable Stay
I came to Minden for a funeral. My 2 night stay was very comfortable and met all my needs. I liked that I had resturant options inside the lodge, so I did not have to go out for meals.

Check-in is q bit tricky, it is in another building. Also room keys didn't work initially (twice), an service engineer came help. Other than that i am satisfied, reasonable price, conveniently located, quiet even though right next to 395. Room is pretty big, beds are clean and comfortable. Microwave and fridge are also convenient. Right next to an RV park if it matters

We are sorry for the misunderstanding, however when you go on-line with Expedia to book the Carson Valley Motor Lodge it is listed as an entirely separate property with different pricing than the Carson Valley Inn. You have to select that property and book your room at that property at those prices. If you have a recommendation as to how we can make this more clear, please contact me. The price was good, the property is quiet, and the room is planned out well. Our keys did not initially work, and they sent someone over to bring us new keys. Extremely polite staff. Remember to request the first floor as there is no elevator. Check-in is at the main casino, so you must drive there to pick up your room keys.
