"We stay at this property every time we visit Asheville. This was our first stay since the name change. I was a bit skeptical because we weren’t sure what to expect in terms of quality and service, but this was one of our best stays in the 11 years we’ve been staying here. My husband and I decided to add an extra day at the last minute and Expedia and the service desk at the property accomoated us and made the process seamless. The front desk gave us a room on the top floor with a view of the mountain which made the stay even more exceptional. We arrived Saturday at checkin and stayed thru Wednesday and it was peaceful, quiet and comfortable. The cleaning staff was also friendly and helpful each day of our stay. Thank you to Gliza from Expedia as well as Rowynne Copeland and Deonte from Lantern Lodge. Deonte always makes us feel welcomed and appreciated. "

"The hotel was clean enough, although, as others have said, it could really use with an update. The staff seemed nice, the little that I interacted with them. The breakfast was small but had a wide enough selection of foods to have something for everybody. The back parking lot was almost constantly a mess. I'm not sure who needs to take care of the trash situation out there but it seemed out of control. "

"The air conditioner roared like a turbine, punctuated by a constant, piercing beep throughout the night. After a full day on the road, we were desperate for rest, but the room delivered nothing but noise and a sleepless night."

"I'm a female, traveling alone. I arrived after dark. I was given a room in the back of the motel, and there were a lot of men just hanging out by their cars and smoking, etc. when I pulled up to my room. I didn't feel safe. Once in my room, I was afraid to come back out. You could tell the place wasn't full. Why they wouldn't plan room assignments a little better or not allow all the men to just hang outside is troublesome. I won't return, despite the convenience of parking there for airport shuttle service. I will find alternative arrangments. "
