"Lovely place to stay, accommodation was spotless and breakfast delicious. Host was excellent, providing us with a warm welcome and helpful recommendations to make the most of our visit. Thoroughly recommend and would definitely book again if in the area."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Great place for short stays. Nice breakfast. 12 -15 minutes walk from centre. Rooms are basic and small but adequate. "

"Lovely hosts, room was nice, spacious and good to have a living area rather than just a bed to lay on. Breakfast was incredible, best I have had (I've had a few!)."

"We used the Pickled Parson as a home base for a month while visiting family. The room we had for that duration of a stay was a little small, but it was comfortable, clean and made up daily. The staff were all amazing and really made us feel at home. A very relaxed atmosphere with great breakfast options. The bar was a great option to wind down at the end of the day with a night cap.

"We stayed for a night with kids . I must say that our stay was wonderful . The breakfast was delicious. Loved every bit of it specially the pan cake . Kids enjoyed to the fullest."
"The check in and car parking was good, the charge for parking was reasonable too. We had 2 rooms, 1 was luxurious and I'm sure was an upgrade. The other room was basic and not so good. It was dusty and had cobwebs, the shower wasn't good and the beds were noisy and uncomfortable. The breakfast was good."
"The stay was fabulous.
The only disappointment--I had stated prior to our visit that it was to celebrate my wife's birthday. A little something in the room would have just added a special touch- as your telephone Advisor said you would probably do.
Kind regards
Dr Jason Greenwood "
"The room was nice & clean , a bonus was the air conditioning as it was hot weather . We also ate evening meal there which was ok , breakfast was plentiful with a good choice
. We only stayed one night on our way to Scotland & our daughter & family met us there to complete the journey . What was nice was that they were able to park & use the hotel for food / drinks etc .
Thankyou we appreciated that 😊"
"Stayed three years ago still same decor tired looking and I had everything I requested twin beds shower room but the beds were so low I struggled to get in or out them as I’m slightly disabled . All the staff are wonderful it’s clean but please spend money on replacing tired rooms didn’t like single duvet in double cover kept sliding off bed ."
"There was no fan in the bedroom on the hotest night of the year and the pillows offer no support at all. Great location, nice staff, nice building and basics, but to have no fan was a real let down."
"Good place, happy with the room and facilities. Loved the location which was not complicated from the motorway. Staffs were friendly, polite and always helpful. Breakfast was great."
