Overall, the property and location were excellent. The room, although spacious and well-appointed was worn. The room could use some updating. Also, the room smelled moldy/musty. No doubt the odor was emanating from the rug and, perhaps, the upholstered furniture. The mattress on the bed sagged in the middle - it should be replaced

A classic historic hotel in a New England college town, a total eclipse, 60-degree spring weather, a buffet breakfast with maple bacon, maple sausage and waffles with Vermont maple syrup: who could ask for more?

Great visit at the Middleberry Inn. Stayed in the anex; ground level, which is convenient. Walkable to restaurants. Looking forward to staying again.

What’s not to love. This is like stepping back into a time capsule. Elegant old hotel with big rooms and space that you can’t find in newer hotels. Great bar and restaurant. I think I could live here.

Middlebury Inn is a historic property and cannot really be compared to modern hotels. It is a comfortable hotel and has friendly staff.
