The house was just as cute in person as it was in the photos. The host answered all my questions and was very forthcoming with information. The property was also close to the National/State Parks and near delicious food. Overall 10/10 stay!

Cozy cottage very clean

Two night stay with grandkids and adult daughter. It was a great place to stay close to dunes and beaches. They have thought of all guest needs ex. Beach toys chairs, umbrella etc. Really thoughtful! Loved coming home to this comfy cottage. Downstairs ping pong table, games and toys great plus for kids. Also comfy beds. Train tracks right behind the house but wasn’t a problem. The kids got used to it quickly. Thanks for the stay!

Cute, clean and cozy cottage

This cottage was super clean and cozy with extra touches to make you feel at home. Everything in the home seemed fresh and on point. There was a comfortable front and back patio with a grill and fire pit for outdoor living. Perfect for a getaway! Very close to the beautiful Indiana Dunes beaches and right around the corner from Calumet Trail. Check in and communication were great. The host maintains a beautiful home and we would stay there again without hesitation.

Cute house

We had a fabulous time. The house is very cute and is equipped with everything you could need. The bed was super comfy and we slept great. We came for the weekend with our grandkids. The basement was a lot of fun for the kids. The zoo was about 10 minutes away and we all had a great time. It wasn’t busy and it was worth.It. The weather was perfect too.We will definitely book again.

Clean but noisy

It was a nice place and very clean. Only problem was it was sandwiched between a noisy road and the train tracks. Normally not a huge issue but we were traveling with a dog who was anxious being away from home. Ultimately led to us all waking up throughout the night each time a train or motorcycle went by.Probably not an issue for the average person, just something to be aware of if traveling with a dog or light sleeper.

This is a terrific little house! Super clean, well-equipped kitchen, and convenient to everything! If it had even an extra 1/2 bath, we would stay for a week or more. We were there for a long weekend for the Century of Progress home tour and this location was perfect. Also pretty close to the beach, which is why we usually come to this area!

The cozy cottage was a great place to stay. It was very clean and had nice updates. The beds were extremely comfortable. Tons of amenities were included such as bikes, helmets, beach blankets and towels etc. The house is located in a convenient location to visit all of the Indiana Dunes area. The back patio and firepit was a wonderful surprise. Our pups enjoyed the back yard too! We loved the house and can't wait to return!

Sweet place to stay for vacation near the beach

I really enjoyed this weekend! The proximity to what we wanted to do there was perfect and the house was so nice with great amenities! I had our 3 kids and they loved the games and space downstairs while also the coach home upstairs! The location was prime for going to the dunes everyday and in the evening for sunset! The railroad track would shake the house a little bit in the 2nd bedroom but it really didn’t bother us at all! We loved our stay!

They really thought of everything. They are prepared for dogs, baby equipment, coffee provided with tons of additional supplies. Very clean. I even laid on the floor with my granddog in the kitchen and noticed there isnt a spec of dirt under the fridge or appliances

Very enjoyable stay

We just spent a few days here before heading to Chicago for a family vacation. We considered it the quiet before the storm. It was a very well equipped house. We had everything we needed. The kids loved the ping pong table and access to the bikes. It really was a nice relaxing stay for my family. We walked the trails, went to the beach and played a LOT of ping pong. As other folks posted about, the train comes by a lot. It did not bother us at all, as we leave near a train as well and are very used to it, but worth noting for those who may be less accustomed to that sound.

We had the most amazing stay here with my dad and my dog, Watson! Seriously, if you love trains, this is your paradise. We originally found out about the area from the Rail Stream Camera in Chesterton, IN, but finding out the house sits right near the South Shore Line sealed the deal. We spent hours happily watching trains—it was the perfect railfanning base!But this house is so much more than just a great location. It's a gorgeous and beautifully appointed space that offered us the perfect spot for rest and relaxation after a long day of train spotting! The kitchen is stunning, the bathroom is spotless, and the living room is so cozy. It truly felt like a luxurious home away from home.The price was perfect and very affordable. I would love to come back in the spring and spend another week railfanning and enjoying the lake, which is a super short drive.Although it’s peacefully tucked away outside of Michigan City, it’s just a super quick drive to all the stores, restaurants, and other great railfanning spots. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly, highly recommend this beautiful getaway!
