Excellent locations, extremely hands on staff and quiet. Absolutely loved our stay here. Well thought out hotel. Only request as a girl, is to install handheld showers as we don't always want to wash our hair or get our eyelash extensions wet. Also - please consider installing full length mirrors in the rooms as I struggled without.

What a wonderful boutique hotel in Merida! Walking distance to most places and very friendly staff. AC works great & it was very clean. We would for sure stay at this hotel again!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Mas Palomas. I just loved all the design features- especially in the bedroom. It felt very luxurious and calm. The bed is very comfortable! I loved sitting by the beautiful pool in the afternoons. I also found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to all the restaurants in centro. Will stay here again!

Beautiful property, within walking distances of many restaurants and local parks and monuments. The staff is amazing. The room is super comfortable, we enjoyed the pool it provided relief from the heat. The breakfast they provide was delicious. I recommend this porperty 100%

We didn't realize this was a small boutique hotel, only 5 rooms, but it was an EXCELLENT stay. The staff was super helpful and attentive. The room was quite, clean and very comfortable, although the dipping pool was small it was always clean and a welcomed releif from the heat of Merida, i used it in the morning and in the afternoon and the staff always brought me a towel. Next time i visit Merida i will stay either here or the sister hotel just 2 blocks away

Boutique hotel, very clean, very gracious hosts. Mas palomas is a short walk from the main hotel, palomas. We walked to breakfast at the main hotel each morning, but one morning when we were under the weather, they delivered breakfast to us. The rooms had air conditioning, and the beds were comfy. The hosts gave us good information for sight seeing, were helpful when we had a minor medical issue, were super informative, and were very accommodating. A delightful place to stay. Particularly helpful staff people included: Lucero, Damian, Masi, Sophi, Oscar, and Ruben.

I thought that two coffee pods were included, but I had to forfeit the ones I brought for the two we had. The staff kindly arrived at 5 AM to take our luggage down and to bring a sack lunch as we left too early to get the included breakfast. I had thought the restaurant was on the premises, but it was not. Lovely architecture and furnishings. Aqua de Mar was a good restaurant close by.

I loved everything about this hotel - quiet, well-kept, helpful and welcoming staff. I am leaving this review because the hotel has a problem with mold. This is a serious health hazard, not simply an inconvenience. Toxic mold exposure can be dangerous and have long-lasting negative effects. My first night was fine, on the second I thought I was feeling off because I was too active and not used to the heat. By the third I was very sick - sore throat, runny nose, cough, dehydrated, feverish, chills, sweating. Then I caught a whiff of mildew smell, and understood. Mold is an issue in the tropics in general, but hotels might need to take extra care to keep it under control. Again, Mas Palomas is a lovely place, and the staff is very sweet and helpful. But mold exposure is no joke.

Although the property is very beautifully appointed the actual functional design of the room was a miss. There was an aircon unit on the wall in the main bedroom but not in the bathroom which is L shaped so it gets absolutely no airflow to that area and makes getting ready not so great because it's hot. There were other elements that did not work like the candles by the bath with the remote. Also, for the price point I was a little turned off that the espresso pods in the room were an additional charge. In my opinion if you are going to have a machine in the room you should have complimentary pods. I've stayed at other properties that cost less that had complimentary pods for the machine. The staff was wonderful and the bed very comfortable. I don't think I would stay again since there are so many great boutique hotels in the same area unless they add an aircon to the bathroom area and offer the accessories for the espresso machine with the stay cost.

This hotel is an absolute gem!! We had to rebook the night we reached Merida because of a horrible experience at another hotel and Mas Palomas was the best choice. Oscar at the front desk was especially helpful!
