Room was clean and service was good, the bed was a bit smaller than I thought, but comfortable, an extra pillow would have been well received, since the headboard was metal, but in all it was good and well serviced for a 300 year old Hacienda.

It was a unique historic hotel in the old downtown of Merida. The courtyard was beautiful, the breakfast was excellent, and the location is very convenient.

Hotel might be a little overpriced for what it has to offer. General rooms are Mexican vintage with much needed updates, as on every other area like the fountain in the entrance. Only a few suite rooms could enter under the “boutique” umbrella (for design, space and amenities). Pool was always cold during our stay, we couldn’t swim (and was part of our plan). Staff was nice. And location is very good for walking around downtown Merida.

Perfect Mérida Stay

The hotel was beautiful and the staff all around helpful and friendly. Cleanliness of the rooms was perfect, a beautiful, historic building and the pool area was so inviting. Walking out of our room everyday to that view was all we could have wanted. Incredible walk-ability to all we wanted to see in Mérida and the ease to book tours was so helpful to see the Yucatán’s beauty and history! Close to the historic downtown center and we felt safe walking all around.

right at the city centre the hotel has a rich historical background very traditional and historical parking is easy. you just need to park outside the hotel and they would provide valet parking for you. many good restaurants around room is spacious with a large window air conditioned

This is a very charming hotel just a short walk from the city historic center. This is not your cookie cutter hotel. Quiet, and relaxing. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It has a beautiful patio courtyard with a fountain and a second courtyard with a pool. The room we had was very spacious with very high ceilings. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant staff were very attentive. I would come back to La Mision Del Fray Diego Boutique Hotel.

Loved this unique place! The building was formerly a convent and the art and room decor are clearly inspired by that. Very quiet and peaceful place. Excellent bed, btw, which can totally make or break a hotel for me. Great atmosphere in a great town with a lot of history. I will definitely stay here again in the future. So much more fun and interesting than a modern cookie cutter hotel without sacrificing comfort and functionality.
